Anyone ever here random voices coming thru their headphones, even when you're not playing any audio?
It happens to me on occasion, nearly always late at night.
It seems like I'm hearing chatter over a CB radio or something.
I haven't done anything illegal so I'm not worried I'm gonna get raided or something but it is kinda weird and annoying.
No I'm not a schizo, the voices stop as soon as I unplug my headphones.

Saved n' saged
Holy fucking shit I'm not the only one I thought I was a schizo
Sage negated, nigga
So I'm not crazy.
Again I haven't done anything but it's still weird as shit. Like our headphones are somehow receiving signals from cop's or trucker's radios.
I searched it up online apparently it's called Fundamental overload. I'm not smart enough to know how it works but from what I pick up somthing on your computer is acting like an antenna and the sound card isn't able to filter out the interface. Your probably have a strong radio broadcast or somthing near you.
That sounds like how I had it figured; I do live relatively close to a truck stop and there are also sometimes cops in the neighborhood.
Your research say anything about stopping it?
Larping as a schizo?
Shut the fuck up faggot
Headphones pick up on radio sometimes. Same with cheap or wireless speakers. I had a one dollar speaker that did that all the time.
Not reading the OP?
I've never owned a pair of headphones that cost more than 30 dollars so that would make sense too.
Maybe coincidence but I feel like I heard chatter less when I was using earbuds compared to headphones.
Laptop or Pc?
I've had it happen on 2 separate laptops
Its likely just the brand picking up on a specific frequency. Being plugged in or not plugged in tend to change the results too.
It happened just a bit ago when the laptop was plugged in, but I've had it do it when it's not plugged as well.
Both HP notebooks if that changes anything
I'm going to sound like a complete schizo but cover your headphone cable in tinfoil and see if that helps at all its usually caused by poorly shielded cables. Are they decent headphones? If you don't feel like doing that shit try rolling up the cable some and see if that effects it at all
They also sell RF chokes which might help
I dont think the brand changes anything. Just that the psudo antenna that if your headphones and a bit of power are different.
I dont know what to say. Its normally a rare issue. Try getting a different cheap pair of headphones or looking up if there are any headphones that avoid picking up radio interference.
I don't know what counts as decent, but I've had it happen with 2 pairs of picrel (currently using one) and a previous set that I don't remember the brand of.
And unfortunately the voices have stopped (heh) so I can't experiment right now, but I'll keep the tips in mind for next time it happens.
Again it's rare but when it happens it's a little freaky.
I used to think it was my neighbor's commenting on my porn habits
