>Samsung Display is planning to expand the production capacity of quantum dot (QD)-OLED panels by 30% before the year’s end, TheElec has learned. Samsung Display has also increased the yield rate of QD-OLED by 85% recently, which will help it to meet its goal, sources said. Samsung Display will also start to manufacture 77-inch and 49-inch versions of QD-OLED next year with the added capacity. This means the South Korean company will be manufacturing 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch versions of the panel aimed at TVs and 34-inch and 49-inch versions for monitors.

>LG has announced its first bendable OLED TV which works either completely flat or as a curved display. The LG OLED Flex (model LX3) is a 42-inch OLED TV that bends into a curved (900R) TV . The LX3 supports Dolby Vision gaming at 4K 120Hz, and includes all the latest HDMI 2.1 features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). LG is also supporting Nvidia’s G-Sync or AMD’s FreeSync technologies to reduce tearing and stuttering during games. There are also gaming modes that let you shrink the 42-inch display down to 32- or 27-inch sizes if you don’t want to play certain games at the full size of the TV.

We saw that 15" 1440p 240hz monitor on MSI's laptop recently, and then the above model from LG usign the same panel as the Corsair-announced 45" "monitor" with a 3440x1440 resolution that has worse PPI than a 27" 1080p display.
I am sick of seeing awesome displays on phones, VR, mobileshit, and the fucking Switch. LG & Samshit seem to be DOING EVERY THING IN THEIR GODDAMN POWER TO AVOID MANUFACTURING A CONVENTIONAL FUCKING OLED PC MONITOR.

They'll certainly need to produce a lot to replace all the ones that get burn-in within a year.

JUST MAKE A 32 INCH HIGH REFRESH RATE OLED ALREADY YOU FUCKERS

curved 21:9 ratio monitors are for faggots

Did you fix burn in yet?

Where is this shit even coming from? Who wants this shit? Is it Chinese people fucking us over with their retarded desires?

OLEDs aren't even that expensive anymore idk why this cope is still going on

I'd say it's not much of a concern anymore considering Alienware offers a 3 year warranty for their QD OLED monitor covering burn in.

this but 27 inch 4k monitor

>OLEDs aren't even that expensive anymore
>OLED monitors start at $4000

My oled Auros monitor was $650, and that's like 43 inches, 4k, gsync compatible

>43 inches
>monitor
anything above 28" is not considered a monitor

Alienware has a pretty great OLED monitor that's $1300. It beats the shit out of any similarly priced IPS or VA monitor.

There's alledgely going to be non-curved version of the QD-OLED monitor released soon:
>Spotted by Harukaze5719, the Alienware gaming monitor in question appears to be a flat panel version of the QD-OLED AW3423DW – a screen that packs an HDR punch. According to a listing found on a Korean government website, the 34-inch display will arrive with an “AW3423DWF” model number, but when exactly it’ll arrive remains unclear.

Just because you're too poor to afford a good curved monitor lol

There is a reason why most productivity superusers have them

Where the fuck are my micro LEDs?

I don't understand, if you are poor why do you want an OLED?

The switch OLED has terrible PPI as well, not sure what about it qualifies as "awesome"

>3440 x 1440 resolution on a 45-inch screen with a 240Hz refresh rate

what games besides esports can even run at 240fps with that res?
