i have a background recorder app, i just turn it on and keep my phone on my hand at waist level, cheking it momentarily to make the impression that i'm just another phone addict or waiting for something. eventually you may even have the opportunity to bend down with you phone to take upskits
picrel is a different case though, as it is someone i'm closer to and i can sit on the ground/bend down without being suspiciou.

yea get an app that can record while screen is off or on another app. From there you can use that app or if you want to, you can set it up to record using phone buttons.
