It's a good thing, depending how many times a day she sees a redline and double clutch.
I forgot... I had so many things to think about I didn't get the time. Some parts have few or no availability at all. Will make sure I get this extended weekend to recover a little and maybe start next week with a more clear mind. So probably I'll check it out on tuesday.
True, but most second generation (I'm assuming it's a 2G) Eclipse parts can be substituted with performance aftermarket that are better anyway. The Drives haft Shop for instance still offers their half shafts for the Eclipse, and they'll last the life of the car. Engine components..water pumps et cetera..are still readily available. Wheel bearings are standard bearings by size. The transaxle is where it gets a bit iffy. But there's always Quaife. Buy it! I want a fellow late 90s Mitsubishi owner friend here in the threads!
I'm not going to buy it either way. I'm pulling out from rebuilding for a while. I'm just curious about it, since it was one of the cars that got me into this whole tuning shit. I only go with Quaife as a general rule. I have quaife on my e92 too, mostly because LSD and high torque resilience. Not to mention how much I have to do on mine... if I get the chance to actually get to them.
It's not about the temperature. It's about salvage prices and parts availability, which is getting worse. Not to mention the rent for the shop. There's already minimal profit so it's not worth it, for now. I'll have to do something else in the meanwhile.
