Born in 85, grew up without the internet. Latchkey kid - able to come and go from my house as I pleased with my brother. Rode bikes and got into all kinds of shit without it being recorded or saved.
Mom worked for a college and got a computer and work-provided internet connection in 1997-1998. Man the web was slow, and raw, back then. ICQ, Geocities, chatrooms upon chatrooms, fucking Napster and downloading CP as a teenager from files disguised as songs! What a world it was. Got introduced to Any Forums in 2005 ish, just after the deletion of the loli board. Seen this site grow, regress, and grow again. It's still unreal to sit here and see just how vastly different this place is, while also being so very much the same. I've been driven to disgust and elation, laughter and sadness, joy and despair on these boards. I've taken breaks, both short and long, but I always find my way back even if it is just to lurk and for a year - sometimes two.
