it feels very nice being future-proof for a long while

AMD kike prices
i'm going with intel raptor lake

>Tie with 12900k on Cyberpunk
12600k is enough at the same price point
No need to pay the ddr5 tax

anyone else think these numbers are insanely disappointing?

agreed
>buy 3600 and 32gb of ram at launch in 2019
>multicore bottle neck from my i5 is gone and I haven't thought about ram in years
>drop in brand new 5800x3d
>suddenly 50% more gaming performance and two extra cores
>also the fastest simulator cpu in the world

13400 + B760 mobo + DDR4

7600x + B650 mobo + DDR5

Which one and why?

>1080p
irrelevant.

Bro that's the 7600X, don't need to cope so hard.

intel will be half the price

Zen 4 will basically be forgotten when Zen 4 vcache gets release in q1 next year.

how about neither.

Bought a 12600k and a 3070ti earlier this year as prices were going down. Prices haven't actually changed more than $30 over the last 6 months. Glad be the set for a long time, but I'm still gonna try and get a 4080 and maybe a 13600k over the next year or so.

and? it'll get fucking OBLITERATED by the 13400 for less

So instead you pay the dead motherboard platform tax lol

I will pay any amount of money just to not use Intel and be tied to Win11, since Raptor Lake is basically doubling e-cores on any sku that already has them and introducing them on any other that didn't.
Which also prompts a weird thought in my head. Will the 13100 be another 4 performance cores, or will it be 4 performance 2 efficient cores? Or would they actually do something insane and make it 6 performance cores? But yeah, but even the 13400 will have the current 12600k config of 6 performance and 4 efficient cores.

Intel revenue is down the shitter so they're forced to raise Raptor Lake prices, and they will keep losing in every metric.

Intelbros
I dont feel so good.

Overclocked 7600X could beat even 13900K.

Even if a 13400 launched at $299 it'll be far cheaper than a 7600x thanks to not needing DDR5. And it's likely that it'll come out at $250 tops, which is still much higher than the current 12400. AMD literally trying to be the jew to outdo the jews.

>buying a brand new computer in order to save 50 bucks

justwait for zen4-x

>The i5-13400 has a maximum boost frequency of 4.10 GHz, while the i5-13500 comes with 4.50 GHz.
The intelaviv jewing begins, Zen4 already won before the fight even begun.

The price difference between a 12400 and a 12500 is about $17 right now. Might be $30 for Raptor lake, but seems like it'll be worth it

So is dedicated sound cards a relic thing anymore? By that I mean can you tell a difference anymore between the onboard audio chip and say the Audigy. I dunno I feel like something is missing whenever I play music on my computer from how it was when I used to have an Audigy 2 ZS back in the day.. Maybe its just me.
