i dont get it

>unions reward incompetence
oh

he is a fucking caroon

SO LONG DENTAL PLAN!

uh huh yeah it's because he has a union job it doesn't at all have to do with the economy being completely different when he became a homeowner and also the fact he is fictional

Jewish bankers and Larry Fink hadn't gone hard-core mode yet. Filthy immigrants weren't replacing whites as much.

I can't believe jews were able to trick americans to dismantle their own unions.

He was a nuclear engineer in the 80s. Wasn’t hard to buy a home before the boomers crashes the economy. Didn’t need a union job either. But go rewatch season 1, he wasn’t intended to be stupid like he is now.

You literally didn't know who Larry Fink was or what Blackrock was before 2020. And you probably still don't know what Blackrock or Vanguard does because you're on SSDI.

The populist right is so retarded, holy shit

woman = retard, should be raped, should never speak

what led to housing becoming so ridiculously expensive since the 90s?

>nuclear
>clean energy
the greentards aren't going to like this one

The 2000-2008 housing boom was because it became legal to give dudes with 300 credit scores homes.
Also, the appraisal industry was rigging the game on the behalf of banks by overestimating the value of homes.

The current housing boom is because the fed dropped interest rates over covid to retarded rockbottoms. They were basically giving money away.

The brown hordes

Corporations

The simpsons exists to present nuclear energy in a negative light

You are a weak man

You're a fucking retard, the average credit score of a mortgage holder over covid was like in the high 700s. Interest rates were at rock bottom lows, you'd be an idiot for thinking a bunch of Mexicans with 450 credit scores are the blame this.

>Muh corporations man
Occupy wall street was 12 years ago, move on.

I know about his super computer

Zoomers never actually watched the show, they just know about it through memes

Jews.

Clinton said das racist, also responsible for the student loan system becoming an absolute joke.

>Its le hecking hardworking mexican who are taking jobs that I deem undesirable
Good goy

Because banks got greedy and the left abandoned the working class in favor of immigrants.

Projecting. Highest level of education?

jokes on them: nuclear energy is cleaner and more renewable than 'green' energy

fucking lithium

Stay seething Paco

This is a good wage actually in england.

The chinese hordes too

I'm a CPA. Did you get your inflation adjustment to your welfare check yet?
The worst thing Tucker Carlson did was given you retards air space for your grievance based politics because you're poor and stupid.

With the paycheck shown in 'Much Apu About Nothing' and adjusting for inflation, using the 25% of net income standard for housing, The Simpsons have about $750 to spend on a mortgage each month. That would have been almost enough to have a mortgage on the "streaming house". Springfield isn't an in-demand place to live so it's probably reasonably equal to Charleston, WV.

Attached: streaming house.jpg (1619x1872, 968.88K)

Our countries are being looted.

Attached: juden.jpg (3884x7735, 3.62M)

Yes, the bargaining power of labor is a direct factor of the supply of labor. Flooding the labor supply puts all the bargaining power in the hands of the ownership class. Commies think reality can be ruled by decree and agency rather than decentralised factors so they believe they can have unlimited labor and still have valuable labor, just as they believe they can frustrate all basis of social cohesion and still have the wealth of social cohesion required for their retarded system to even theoretically function.

It's been a pretty gradual increase minus the 00s bubble (which got corrected) and the very recent spike, which like said, is because mortgage rates were at a record low and millenials (an even bigger generation than the boomers) are hitting home buying age.

Attached: fredgraph.png (600x416, 22.72K)

Not Mexican, nor do I want them in the country.
I'm tired of dumb 90IQ populists invading my political ideals and infecting with bolshevik/Khmar Rouge nonsense because you think there's a virtue in being uneducated and making 45K a year.

>seething cause he was too retarded to get into one.

if hes weak what does that make a woman?

Welcome to Trumps America

>Springfield isn't an in-demand place to live
Not an in-demand place to live? Then how do you explain that a new celebrity moves there every other episode?

Houses on Evergreen Terrace were shown to be shoddy crap that was falling apart.

Attached: ned.png (640x480, 440.97K)

how come american economy is still strong with the dollar matching the euro, while japan almost has three lost decades after their booming economy in the 80's.

Slumming is how celebrities show us plebes that they're just like us. Notice they don't stay very long.

The Russians funded a bunch of anti-nuclear groups in the West in the latter 20th century in order to retard nuclear development (shit like "The World Peace Council").

But I maintain that The Simpsons did more damage to the reputation of nuclear. Glad people are beginning to see sense now. Sneed.

Divorce. Boomers owning multiple houses to rent them out or use them as travel houses. Mass immigration/population explosion. Boomers regulating the zoning laws to prevent more housing from being built to artificially inflate their home value. Evil corporations buying up available housing stock to turn millennials into renters. Areas that were previously sparsely developed are now attractive living areas so the demand for housing there is increasing. New Yorkers/Californians fleeing their own voting habits.

That is not how the free market work

Every Cesar Chavez Day, I celebrate that he was an INS informant that had large numbers of Mexicans deported.

Attached: simpsons.gif (480x360, 927.83K)

He was constantly receiving Royalty checks for the Be Sharps you retard normies

Attached: IMG_20220703_182723.jpg (120x144, 7.5K)

tpbp. All their arguments are made using fictional characters, it's insane.

The coincidence of 'The China Syndrome' being released right around the time of the Three Mile Island incident probably was the worst thing to happen to nuclear as it turned Baby Boomers and their parents against it for life.

He is weaker than a woman, ironic.

Sneed

>TAKES HOME $362.19 per WEEK in 1990 dollars
That would be a take home pay of $821.12 per week in 2022.
Or $3,284.48 per month.
Or $42,698.24 per year.
That's more than enough money to buy a good sized house in the midwest right now.

You're missing the key to your point, you have to live in the midwest.

wrong
>And Lord we're especially thankful for nuclear power
>the cleanest, safest energy source there is
>except for solar, which is just a pipe dream
funny how people who shit on the simpsons don't even bother to actually watch the fucking show

Greentards can deny reality all they like, nuclear is the most effective clean and renewable energy source we have today.

Homer didn't buy the house. It was a gift from Abe.

forgot pic

Attached: homersolar.jpg (640x480, 58.12K)

And Homer does. We don't know exactly which state Springfield is in, but it's very clearly not a coastie shithole.

It's supposed to be sarcastic. Solar is feasible but only for domestic private use

It's nice that the meme that shall not be named died off so now we can go back to having serious Simpsons discussions like this

Of course it is.
If I have a small labor pool I must offer incentive to compete for available labor.
If I have a large labor pool the onus is on the laboror to compete for my job opening.
That's how reality works. Supply and demand. Just like how if I fill a community with people who have vastly different values and backgrounds, social cohesion plummets, because nobody trusts anyone else because they have different standards on acceptability and don't want to engage.

the mortgage is paid off and homer just pays Taxes?

Do you really not understand that this is taking the piss out of nuclear proponents? Homer's nuclear plant also spews out green glowing radioactive sludge that mutates the fish in the lake. YOU'RE the one who's never watched the show.

Whassat? You can't sneed? Here i help you

US Manufacturing is never coming back.
You will never make more than 45K a year.

Cope.

>Chuck?

You were right, all the replies to your post is seething and ad hominems

IT'S A FUCKING CARTOON.

that's more about a corrupt mr burns dummy

>the ecofacists did a 180 on nuclear and it's now "green"
love to see it

>You will never make more than 45K a year.
Not him, but I make $60k per year in an office job living in Ohio with only a GED. I'm above the median income for the entire state and live comfortably in low cost of living.

How painfully autistic are you?

go back to twitter, nigger

Its almost like decreased union membership has corresponded with the economy going to complete shit for the working class. Why are Americans so obsessed with getting cucked?

FYI Zillow's estimates are complete horseshit. My wife and I both have excellent credit and put 20% down but still pay more than any of their estimations showed. Zillow wants to lure people in so they'll fall in love with a house and buy something beyond their means.

US manufacturer never actually went down. Look it up. See the numbers

Homer opened several mortgages in the house, five i think, and their family is technically in preternatural debt. But the property is still his.

is she kill?

Because the country got flooded with labororers and outsourcing jobs became commonplace at the same time.
The bargaining power of a union is in withholding labor, which does not exist if you have a vast oversupply of it. All that can exist in such an environment is a simulcrum of legal jargon aimed at replicating the true function, a mimic.

people who post gore should automatically be reported to the FBI.

mr burns keeps him on pay role so he doesn't organize another town coup to shut down the power plant

Not with a family it isnt

I'm part of a union and I can assure you their function is to make sure the most dangerously incompetent retards can't be fired. Oh and sending newsletters that sound like they were written by an AI trained on 19th century marxist literature

Yes. People like you shoot up stores and schools.

Except he goes to the harbor all the time and Moe hosts unlicensed monkey fights outside the 12-mile-zone

I just shoot my load in ur bitch

I've had the same experience with unions at my job.

I don't care what you think. Just get locked up and fuck off from society.

I too think the cattle should be treated like the slaves we are.
Oh yeah control me daddy ugu

me with the gun

Only redpilled person here. Government fuckery is what ultimately facilitated it all. Fuck the MUH BANKERS MORE REGULATION MORE HECKIN GOVERNMENT! retards.

Never heard of the great lakes?

So?

if its that bad why not leave? or do you think the benefits outweigh the negatives?

anything wrong with the world is because of boomers
>the jooooos
boomers are jew's greatest allies

Foreigners desu.

Marx was against foreign labor as it undermined the working class

>HECKIN CARTOON SAID THING THAT WAS NEVER SAID
Fuck zoomers and their disrespect for history.

the simpsons is how jews see your average american, by homer being your average american

he wasn’t right about anything
he got mad that he’s being called out

>getting into a union is hard and requires a high IQ

All this politsperging and you niggers don't even bother to find twitterfag made it up.

That's why racism/bigotry was made the holy cow which must not be infringed of the modern gommie. With that precedent, the gommie will always serve his corporate masters as to attack them, even if it were their second principle, would be to infringe on the highest principle, the worship of the negro.

>You literally didn't know who Larry Fink was or what Blackrock was before 2020
and? so they don’t actually exist or? what are you saying retard?

In the midwest it is. Keep in mind those numbers are all net/post-tax. When people talk about their annual salaries they're typically quoting gross/pre-tax dollars. Someone who's taking home $42k per year probably has a gross salary close to $70k. You can absolutely raise a family on that money if you don't live in a coastal metropolitan hellhole.

People making that much money in my city have kids, houses, multiple cars, the newest cell phones with unlimited data for every member of the family, cable TV and internet, eat out multiple times per week... Contrast that with the Simpsons: food at home, no cell phones, no cable, one car... They were living with a lot less stuff than most people do today so that money would go much further.

Stop buying into the jewish lie that you have to make $200k in a hustling-bustling city to raise a family and be happy.

everyone got greedy in the 2000s
'08 was a return to 1995 prices
then Obama buckbroke us into thinking $200,000 for a two-bedroom was actually normal and the way it's supposed to be, and helped the housing market "recover"

you’re pretending to be smart in a room full of retards calling each other retarded

doesn't argue the point

you said this because somebody called you a jew?
so you’re jewish?

Springfield isn't in the midwest

man you are really stupid arent you? Why would he leave a place that can carry retards into a comfortable retirement? Go eat a curb retard.

I bought a house in February, you think prices will continue to go up and this is still a good way to invest?

Yeah pretty amazing the neo-libshits that are always going about muh socialism and "lol voting against your interests" but dont even seem familiar with their own source material. Marx also believed that in armed working class to defend the interests of the common people but just look how leftoids seethe about the second ammendment

no

Jews hate unions

There's major layoffs going on at my job now. The first people they got rid of were non-union because it was easy.

They’re banned in like half the country now, in NC they are not allowed. I’m pretty sure boomers banned them after using them themselves.

only high iq posts itt

Cock Pounding Assmuncher is what you really are though bcuz ur gay

>I’m pretty sure boomers banned them after using them themselves.
sounds about right

Why does that look like Ceasar Romero?

This. I don't have to put in effort and I get paid to basically shitpost on Any Forums all day. I just hope the company stays afloat for a long time but if it goes under I'll just move to another union job that I can leech off of. I like my union job because I can be a terrible employee and not even have to worry about being fired

Lots of people from multiple generations in my family work in the european steel industry. They all tell me the story of this industry is that they are all downsizing because the competition from china and india is too strong. Pretty sure thats because they can pay their workers less.
Do unions have anything to do with this?

Housing has become more expensive because supply has not grown at the same rate as demand. People talk about how easy it was to purchase a home in the 50s but you have to realize there were also widespread housing developments and this is when the suburbs were effectively created. Modern zoning laws restrict new construction or municipalities put in new stipulations like developers must also build low income housing which they obviously are less inclined to due to less return in investment

You don't have a job, you would refer to it as lay offs happening at your COMPANY if you did. At least learn how to larp well if you're going to pretend to be anything more than a marxist neet loser

>nuclear is finally becoming considered "clean energy"
Thank fuck
Goddamn retard ecomongs set us back 50 years
Pity it's coming too late to avoid the impending energy apocalypse
Thanks dickheads

what does it mean in this context for “competition” to be “strong”

Because you don't know what Cesar Chavez looked like.

The competition can offer the same product at a cheaper price. How else would you interpret that sentence?

>is a fictional character

As stated, the modern leftist believes in nonfactoral causality. The major causes are nondependent on the multitude of minor causes which embody them. In their view everything is legislative, therefore legislation dealing with the major causes can rectrorectify the consolidation of minor causal factors. Wet streets cause rain is a good setnence I've used to describe their worldview, and in that example they believe if you can keep the streets dry, you can stop it raining. A good example of this is to look at how they treat the competency barrier in certain minority populations. They believe that once the effect (unequal outcome) is rectified via legislative means (gibs), the cause (biological incompetence) will cease to exist.

If you wish to understand the leftist mind simply reverse cause and effect in your mind and it will give you the best approximation you could hope for.

why don’t you do it then retard?
i bet you just made all of that bullshit up

the joke is homer is stupid and stole his house from his father.

lmao you think its unions when you've been getting wholesale replaced by 3rd world slave labor since the 60's

Chinese and Indian steel is definitely not an equal product just like Chinese and Indian workers are not of equal competence. Its a lower cost substitution

>If you wish to understand the leftist mind simply reverse cause and effect in your mind and it will give you the best approximation you could hope for.
damn…

yeah like i said, the benefits outweigh the negatives. you aggressively stupid faggot.

it’s a chink shill

we're in route to a housing downturn, at least in the short term

Do what faggot?

Looks like political threads are ok with the janny if the Jews aren’t being focused on

do not reply to me again you retarded gorilla nigger

That's exactly what they did

Jfc. I'm a line cook who works 50 hours a week and gets maybe 1.2k a check yet I can barely afford a small apartment with roommates. We're the 90's really that easy?

Attached: 1658027832295.jpg (600x507, 20.16K)

duh how new are you

serves you right for not just being a ceo
why don’t you just be rich?
flyover moron

No retard, his dad sold his entire farm to finance the mortgage, did you even watch the fucking show?

Is she trying to make a point against unions?

>That's more than enough money to buy a good sized house in the midwest right now.
No the fuck it isn't , everything is insanely expensive right now. 42k a year is only good enough to buy a house in the middle of nowhere where a nuclear plant isn't going to exist to work at. Even if you make over 100k a year you're not going to afford a house anytime soon unless you want to be a typical American and pay off insane amounts of death until you die

T. Actually lives in the Midwest

Homer is supposed to sound like a nuclear shill taking a jab at alternatives. Which is funny because that is exactly what solarfags and windcucks have been doing to nuclear for decades, such as the writer of that joke.

what's a "line" cook? sounds like some sort of "horrors beyond comprehension"

rising upper middle class of china, battling for generations to make ends meet so their children can have a better future.

those children now have "a better future", to live the white dream they saw on the screen.

Not true at all. Its not like steel is some artisan product or has a highly complicated design process behind it. Its an industrial commodity that has norms and standards regulating it.
A piece of steel of a given standard and is pretty much the same no matter where it comes from.
It may be true that there is more corruption or fraud involved if youre buying it from asia, but it seems to not be big enough of an issue to offset the benefit of lower prices for your average buyer.

At this point I want to drop out of my current work and just join the French foreign legion to get murdered in some jungle. I'm starting to see why so many Americans volunteered to go to Vietnam back in the day despite it obviously being a horrible idea

$42k per year NET.
And yes, obviously you buy a house with a mortgage. You think people buy houses up front in cash?

That was the oil and gas companies retard. The 3 mile, Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters also scared normies away from nuclear.

progs btfo

>$2.4k per month income
>small apartment
>roommates
>flyover
No, that's not a flyover. I'm a flyover and I moved out on my own and no roommates with less income than that.

Market fuckery and the unwillingness to let things die or burn because someone rich might actually lose for once.

>Springfield isn't an in-demand place to live
Homer literally lives in the same street as George Bush Sr.

Absolute nigger IQ bait. "I have a union job" isn't his response. What Homer says is "Don't ask me how the economy works".

Just cooking professionally is called being line cook generally. It's also called being a "station chef" if you want to be fancy. Really it's just your job to oversee one part of the cooking process for the entire kitchen, you're not the actual chef of the entire kitchen you're just working a part of it. Sometimes I have people I need to train and oversee but I don't need to deal with orders and general management.

i’ve been ready to die since the floyd riots
give me a gun i’ll get the high score before i turn it on myself

40k a year is dirt poor if you have a family

>You think people buy houses up front in cash?
They fucking used to. These days you're be insane to try unless you have such an amount of wealth that you can just piss it away on a whim.

That was the listing price, not the 'Zestimate'. The monthly payment shows "est." because they don't know what rate a bank would give you on a mortgage.

The retards on this board are so Jew paranoid they won’t get a mortgage

Same brother

When I was younger my dream was a decent job, enough to have a house and maybe start a family. Now it seems like an impossible dream on par with winning the lottery or being an astronaut.

I'd take them sort of seriously if they'd just admit nuclear is the only way to achieve their goals.

In the uk the answer is simply immigration. The lotus eaters have a good video covering it

You don't think that flooding the labor market with third worlders whilst simultaneously exporting the economy to other countries is a factor? My wife shops at goodwill occasionally and you can actually see when the US began to export its economy through the age of the clothing. All of the older clothes that came from the early 90's or before were American made and of great quality. Anything newer will have a foreign country on the tag.

>t. can't comprehend the difference between net pay and gross pay
Do you think people with $70k/year salaries actually take home $70k per year? Have you just never had a job or what?

don't live in the city, you won't have that problem

Or maybe there are people not retarded like most Americans are who want to pay off an expensive mortgage with student loan debt and whatever car payments you need to make who don't want to live paycheck to paycheck and then shoot people out of sheer frustration?

It's a horrible system. Also Jews irl are a lot more paranoid about those kinds of payments than anyone else you'll ever meet. For a good reason too

>They fucking used to.
When, in the fucking 19th century? People have been taking out home loans for generations. I guarantee your grandparents or even great-grandparents got a mortgage for their home.

If you can’t afford it you can’t afford it but a mortgage doesn’t cost any more than rent if you’ve the down payment

He probably doesn't have a job considering the position he is arguing from. My gross pay is well into the six figures and roughly a quarter of it is sucked out by every form of tax you could imagine. In fact I got a bonus in a check and exactly 30% of it was withheld for taxes

>Bro just don't have access to most of the forms of work you need to operate in a modern economy bro
This hasn't been economically feasible for over 20 years and it's why everyone abandons rural and less populated areas of the country. Unless you're retiring it's a horrible move because it isolates you from so many forms of labor. Then the prices that cities bring ends up spilling over into the rural setting so it ends up still being insanely pricy.

is that why the Chinese housing market is on the brink of collapse?

>Entire thread shitposting
>Barely anyone bringing up that the line is completely fabricated
Fucking zoomers

>you can actually see when the US began to export its economy through the age of the clothing. All of the older clothes that came from the early 90's or before were American made and of great quality. Anything newer will have a foreign country on the tag.
damn

>don't want to get a home loan
>don't want to build equity over time
>don't want to consider the mortgage gets paid off
>instead piss away money into rent every month while trying to save up enough money to buy a house in cash instead of that rent money going into paying off a mortgage
Wow, you're so smart with money you must be a professional accountant!

Sounds to me like you're an inner city dweller.

that's why you drive in for work

Not that many volunteered and if they did it was to fight communism. Do you think the economy of the mid 60's was something that people wanted to get away from?

Property as investment ate up most of the existing supply. Most houses are bought up by professional landlords or dipshits wanting to reenact a home renovation show and flip it.

You fix it by either building loads more houses, or taxing landlords more. Neither are attractive options to the rich landlords who make decisions in every government.

all that matters is i make more money then you which means you’re stupid
why are you so stupid? why don’t you be rich like me?
there are no economic or political problems, poor people (anything under 200k) are just stupid.

he doesn't even say this. twitter retards make shit up to suit their agenda then you fags take the bait

Literally in the 20th century, my own grandmother bought her house with my grandpa working on a teacher's and fast food workers salary. In the 19th century a lot of the government actually payed you to move into places as long as you could help develop them. I would love fo work construction around a local area and help improve my home at the same time but we don't live in that era anymore. Now you pay $900 a month to live with 3 people in a small apartment and barely scrape by on ramen noodles

If anyone thinks 3 mile was anything like Chernobyl or for that matter Fukushima they probably shouldn't hold an opinion on the matter.

Since this is Any Forums, I'll point out that the existence of mortgages was an important point in "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946) and in "Miracle on 34th Street" (1947), a 20% down payment was discussed.
You've been tricked by plebbit memes into thinking Boomers got free houses with five proof-of-purchase boxtops from Booberry cereal.

>democrats say they are for the people
>democrats hate nuclear energy
god damn i hate us politics so much

>my own grandmother bought her house with my grandpa working on a teacher's and fast food workers salary
And they specifically, explicitly told you that they never took a loan for that house and paid for it entirely in cash up front?
>Now you pay $900 a month to live with 3 people in a small apartment and barely scrape by on ramen noodles
Stop living in the fucking city, retard. You could be putting that $900 per month into home equity.

It means the chinese government subsidized the steel output specificially to destroy their more sustainable competitors. This is in violation of international “law” but white folx didn’t do shit about it.

It is if you live in a city, pay for 300 streaming services, eat out for every meal, buy the newest thing every day, and have incurred massive debt.

Cos he was 'made' in the 90s

Attached: 1657991330369.jpg (2000x1270, 269.91K)

The market was a lot better back then for sure but didn’t your parents move to a new town that didn’t have much in it where the property values are low, and stuck around for like 30 years working as the rest of the town was too and expanding

You're going to die in debt before you ever pay off anything you owe you fucking retarded American lmao.
>Dude you dont want to participate in the current economic system , the fuck? It's not like 90% of our population lived paycheck to paycheck and we have the worst rates of homelessness in Earth or anything
>Nothing's wrong with the system! Just get an insanely expensive mortgage and you'll have a house you own in 20 years!

The Americans system didn't used this way and the fact you check so hard to it is frankly amazing.

Everyone wants to ignore that boomers would show up to work everyday to an office wearing a suit. No support animal, no sweatpants, no working from home, no programming socks, and definitely no watching twitch at work. The funny part is that if Zoomies just worked like a boomer for a few years they'd be making 6 figgies before they 30. Just doing the bare minimum right now makes you look like a hero.

a 10x10 patch of land in California wasn't and unobtainable dream in the 60's. I wonder what changed?

why do liberals hate this post

laymen don't know the difference
they just hear "nuclear accident" and immediately think atomic bomb

I live in Montana, we don't have an inner city. Our biggest town is a little over 100k in population.

America is SO good, bros!

so chinks are slimey and i’m supposed to aspire to that because you like money

Everyone bought the land

Again, Bill Clinton destroyed that market because it was racist.

don’t forget they pullled up on their bootstraps
is this bait

>renewable energy source
I didn't know uranium was infinite

California became massively overpopulated, skyrocketing demand on finite supply

>Just get an insanely expensive mortgage and you'll have a house you own in 20 years!
Where I live I could either pay $800 per month to live in an 800sqft 1-bedroom apartment or put up a down payment on a 3br/2ba house and pay $900 per month into home equity until the loan is paid off. I'd have to be a fucking retard to stick with an apartment, and you are, too. Incurring some debt doesn't have to mean living beyond your means or paycheck to paycheck, it makes sense to get a loan for something like a house that's a large investment. I would never get a loan for a car, but a home loan is completely sensible.

Really? There were no other factors you could think of at all?

In Montana? Yeah they didn't need to because it was just that cheap.
>Stop living in the fucking city, retard. You could be putting that $900 per month into home equity.
I don't live in a city you fucking retard. Maybe if you stopped telling city fags to move out here because it's "just cheaper bro" it wouldn't be so bad.

>blaming the browns and not the banks

good goy 1 shekel for you

you’re talking to a landlord lmfao he wants you to rent

>4 bedroom home
but in springfield shithole, gotm oney from father who sold his farm
>nice area
lesser amount of nonwhites back then = more nice area
>clean energy
wouldnt expect that from some libshit

>a 20% down payment was discussed.
it's insane to me that the average down payment on mortgages now is about 6%

> Not seeing the (((banks))) are the ones importing the browns.

Just the human race right user?

Look up breeder reactors. Uranium isn't used once and then tossed out, you can then put that uranium into a breeder reactor that uses it again and again until it's completely spent. Yes, there's technically a finite amount of uranium to use, but all of it can be used repeatedly so unlike with fossil fuels we're not limited to just burning it all one time.

>imcompetant man who should've been fired long ago still has his job in a safety-critical nuclear power plant
>liberals think this is a good thing

This is why chernobyl happened.

>I don't live in a city you fucking retard.
So you're just that terrible with money.

This is unironically how much I make at my job.

Compared to all other forms of energy currently available it essentially is.

it's 100% worth it.
You put 2% down payment on a house, just enough to get the loan. You pay the PMI. You do this like 4 times.
You sell all the houses 4 months later and make 150-200k dollars.
You use that money for even more higher quality houses at like 3-4% down payment, repeat this process until you're able to put down payments on highest quality houses.
Where stupid fucking hipsters and their rich parents will easily pay an extra 60k on the home.
Next thing you know you've got 500k+ in profits.
You buy your house and just own it outright.

this whole fucking housing market is the stupidest fucking shit.

Like what?

I agree with you and am indeed a home owner however now probably wouldn't be a good time. Wait for the impending home price collapse.

homer working at a nuclear power plant was chosen because it was funny and satirical

>until the loan is paid off.
Being the key issue here. Some people don't want to live the rest of their lives working towards a single house payment that will take most of their youth to deal with on top of every other expense they will need. Frankly there's such a shortage of housing that you're either paying insane amounts of money that on top of all other expenses like car payments, health insurance, gas, groceries etc that it's not worth it. I don't want to spend the rest of my life dedicated to simply paying off a mortgage and I WILL be living pay check to pay check to scrape by if I want to access any of the local housing market unless I want to live in a trailer. Even trailers are overpriced now.

>Incurring some debt doesn't have to mean living beyond your means or paycheck to paycheck
Yes , yes it does. Americans are such utter retards when it comes to debt.

bump

It's almost like correlation doesn't imply causation you retarded living.

>hardworking spics

That's a fucking laugh. Just because they work the shit jobs doesn't mean they work hard.

Get your shit together man don’t use your lower property values to city folk for you not affording them

This is the real lesson. If he was indeed working for a union, which I doubt there is evidence of, it would only prove the union is hiring and protecting buffoons.

nearly 43k a year net.
Thats like 70k a year before taxes.

Owning a house is totally possible on 70k a year. It isnt easy, but it is doable.
Keep in mind that Homer also drives a shitty car, sends his kids to public school, etc.

No you're just that unaware of the rest of the country. Stop being such a prideful dipshit over a topic you clearly don't know anything about. We have a horrible rate of poverty and homelessness and it's you faggots and your "dude just take the debt and forget about the insane prices" who make it worse. Maybe if you regulated the market so that international specualtion wouldn't factor into our daily costs of living and housing prices we wouldn't have this much of an issue? No no, buts it's not actually the fault of bad actors in the system "dude just pay a mortgage for the rest of your life and work 60 hours a week to be able to afford it"

No, fuck off you absolute slave.

What happened to Lenny?

Attached: lenny.jpg (768x576, 92.55K)

1. THATS THE JOKE
2. how do twitter folk find a way to turn around everything into low-key demanding to be given free money (cause its always about the money even if they dont admit it)

This episode takes place in the same timeline as Burns' Heir when he got fired

What’s the big idea, renters somehow get to retire because they never quit paying monthly, while people who pay monthly for a mortgage and get equity are the only people who have to work for 25 years? Your shit doesn’t even make sense. What’s stressful about home ownership is maintenance and the risk of foreclosure when losing your income, which if you’re not buying above your means is an identical risk for renting. What about renting means you get to stop working?

>clean nuclear

screeching from germany and EU can be heard to this thread

>Some people don't want to live the rest of their lives working towards a single house payment
When you sell your house and move, all the money you paid into equity comes with you. Do you think that if you move out of the house you have to get a brand new loan and start from $0? On the other hand, when you rent all that money literally evaporates into nothing.
>paying insane amounts of money
Paying what you would have paid in rent except you keep the money as value in the house.
>car payments
Literally just don't get a loan on a car. I agree that's not worth it.
>Americans are such utter retards when it comes to debt.
Yes, that doesn't mean that a home loan is inherently a bad idea.

You sound like an angsty 16 year old who just found out that bills exist.

i bought my house in 2017 for 110k.
It's currently worth 400k.

But what's the point in selling it when I can't afford any of the houses that are higher quality?
just fucking insane m8.
If the market crashes, my house won't be worth enough to use the equity to buy a better house.
fucked if i do fucked if i don't.
they have made it so it's impossible to move up in the world.

some people are getting stuck with the houses they buy also now that the market is slightly cooling.

Gambling debts most likely

>Its almost like decreased union membership has corresponded with the economy going to complete shit for the working class. Why are Americans so obsessed with getting cucked?
There are other issues with unions though.
Disston, the saw and tool maker that was once based in Philadelphia was actually very progressive for an employer at the time, and provided houses for workers etc. Way more benefits than was typical.
Unions took over Disston, and caused enough issues that the family that owned it cashed out and sold the company.
After that, production got moved and shut down, the brand got passed thru a few different companies, and all that remains of the original in philadelphia, is a now independent shop that manufactures giant circular saw blades that were once part of the Disston lineup.
Most of the areas were Disston and other manufacturers shut down, went to complete shit.
Just look up videos of Kensington in Philly.
That is the result.

he is in the union
there's even a whole episode dedicated to him becoming the union rep for the power plant

I'm a slave for putting money into a form where I get to benefit from it? The people who put that money into their landlord's pockets are not slaves? You're retarded.
>dude just pay a mortgage for the rest of your life
It's either that or pay rent for the rest of your life. Also the longest mortgage terms are 30 years and you'll probably live more than another 30 years.
>and work 60 hours a week to be able to afford it
I work 40 hours per week and afford a mortgage just fine.

Ha ha are you fucking with me. I'm on £900 a week and it's not enough (nuclear family, 2 adults one child, white, semi-detached with a driveway). If you can get by on £375 a week you're an incem skag addict

why would you buy a house you didn't want to live in?

Years of record low interest rates have reduced the returns possible in many traditional safe investments like bonds, which drives a lot of speculative cash into stocks and real estate instead as people attempt to earn higher returns.
So now we have tons of people now who have been abusing cheap debt to buy up properties, then refinancing these properties in order to buy even more properties adding a lot of demand that never used to exist.
All you can hope for is a total rug pull of the real estate market, but the government/Fed will do everything in its power to prevent it.

I pay $850 a month on my mortgage and get $250 equity per payment. Is it much? No, but if and when I sell, or if at any time I say fuck it this was in fact a gay idea and sell tomorrow, I do get $250 per month I lived here back in my pocket, adjusting for change in the home price

Because it’s better than where you used to live, you keep more of the money you pay per month, and it’s a better investment than just using the bank and certainly better than renting

>sell house for $300k profit
>invest profit in the market
>rent a cheap apartment
>wait until the housing market dumps
>your $300k has been growing all this time in investments
>buy a nicer house for cheap and still have money left over to keep growing in investments

oh no no Any Forumsbros the leftists like nuclear energy now we need to find another thing to obsess over, maybe those baloons that suck CO2 from the atmosphere

because of equity user.
owning a house at a relative all time low cost and very stable 2.7% interest rate is a sound investment at all times.
simple buy low sell high.

The problem is people's understanding of housing bubbles and bubbles popping.
Using numerous examples throughout U.S. history (detroit, chicago, 2008 crisis, etc).
We know that in reality the housing bubble never truly pops. It situationally pops in key locations and it's up to you to understand where these locations are so you can sell before and where the next ones will be so you can buy before.

Asheville NC, hailed to be the next Portland is a great example. Everyone wanted to move to Asheville. The problem was it never took off. People were spending millions for a shitty little house in Asheville and overnight people just stopped moving there and industry stopped being built.
Therefore those houses are effectively worthless for all purposes.

I bought a house in TN instead, not 100% what I wanted, but it was what I needed and it's in an area of the country that can only go up. Not down. As the economy there was stable. Literally one of the only stable economies to this day.
>murfeesboro tn #1 city with more jobs than people, 2020
so people will flock to the city, meaning more house demand, meaning my house will always be worth more.

The problem is everywhere I want to move are still locations that are either stable or still growing.
I need to find the area that is still cheap, has what I want, and won't grow too quickly. Which is a nightmare to calculate.

Sweetie haven't you heard? Clean energy won't solve the climate crisis because it doesn't resolve the fundamental inequalities of our society.
Sorry sweetums but intersectionality has declared we cannot have a solution that stops us from demanding gibs for negroes.

Mowing the lawn is fun

things nobody said or will say

Deregulation because idiots refuse to recognise extreme capitalism is as bad as extreme communism

the market is garbage right now and apartment cost might as well be throwing money away.
At this point it's straight gambling user. You can count cards all you want, but you can't account for every little thing and I won't reinvest unless I can guarantee a 75% chance or higher return.

Right now returns are lower than 30%.
Housing is stable investment and i'm not going to risk that.

Grandpa won a house in a contest that he sold to buy this one.

lmao get fucked and learn how to read you knee jerking dipshit.
