WTF? really

It's called Mucus Membrane Pemphigoid - I have a subversion of it called Cicatricial Pemphigoid.. In a nutshell, my Immune system is attacking the mucus membranes in my Mouth, Nose, Throat and Eyes.. creating lesions that pop and scar up afterwards and it could spread to other places.
I was immediately put on Prednisone and am dealing with ALL the shitty side effects of that wonderdrug.. FML - any questions?

How long did you have it before you found out (estimate obviously)

I'd been getting the mouth lesions for about a year, but just thought it was bad hygiene by me.. you know.. regular cancur sores or something... then I had issues with my eyelashs scraping my cornea.. went in to get that checked and after a few rounds of electrolysis to get the eyelashes pulled.. about 6 months later they discovered that the interior of my eyelids were scarring and attaching themselves to my cornea.. It took them a while to piece together all the info ( including my dry and crusty bleeding nose) It's super fucking rare and hardly any doctors know about it.. it's all fucked up

damn I'm sorry user

Cheers Brothers - I gotta say I'm trying to handle it all with a sense of humour but man.. the fact that it has no cure - could potentially blind and/or kill me AND came out of fuckin' nowhere; has me a bit rattled..

Go to erowid in the experiences archive and read the prednisone stuff. This shit sounds amazing.

Getting THAT autoimmune, yeah its shitty.
Getting AN autoimmune, that's actually pretty common. A lot of shit falls under that umbrella; Diabetes type-1, arthritis, psoriasis. Says a lot about this perfect machine called the human body that it can just choose to attack itself.

Just be glad its not lupus, ms, or scleroderma.

At first Pred was like; cool.. hey man have a shitty ton of energy and some crazy happy thoughts.. then about 2 weeks later its like; now im gonna raise your blood glucose levels to hyperglycemic levels, destroy your bone density, give you moon face and fuckin' buffalo hump.. oh and now you're always hungry.. get fat motherfucker.. good times :D

They'll back you on and off as time goes by. Don't expect to be stuck with those things forever. Steroids are given in courses. Prescribe, wait until the "fire" goes out, take off, symptoms return, prescribe...

Look up some forums. Those people have excellent strategies on how to live a normal life. Soon enough it will become just another shitty thing about your life.

Kek yeah I rarely actually feel hungry because nicotine but when I took this I would actually feel like I was starving.

just started talking to a few support groups - I see what you mean.. it's a crazy rollercoaster but it's keeping me alive I suppose

>any questions?

Vaccines are toxic, they cause autismus and diseases which are worse then alzemer and the downs disease.

>it's porn
:o

What about ?

I'm a bit scared of having lupus myself, how are you getting back at life for doing you like this?

I'm still in the planning stage.. looks like my landlord is also about to sell the place I live in.. so Im sure Ill be looking for somewhere else to live: Gonna hit up an even smaller quiet community and chill out with my 2 cats until I eventually croak probably.. or not.. im a bit indecisive

how tired do you get of people telling

"You need to..."
>Exercise more
>Get rid of toxins
>Take fishoil
>Go on Keto died
>Cut the stress out of your life!
>>insert whatever crazy shit they do

>also porn
:o

i would honestly go the heisenberg way, go with a bang

I was diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurtiva in my early 30s. I stayed at "stage 1" for about 10 years when they realized their diagnosis was wrong.

Hope you have the same turn out.

I might also suggest trying to eliminate different foods from your diet, and moving to a new location. Many times this shit is environmental and relocation helps.
