If im not mistaken it seems he might have been set up. Police usually back their own. The police force he was assigned to was glad at the outcome of all those years. Not to mention one of the women who claimed he assaulted her recanted.

Although I've only read accounts of those who are protesting innocence on his behalf, the evidence for his convictions in each case doesn't seem at all compelling at all, certainly not beyond reasonable doubt, and seems to rely very heavily on quantity rather than quality.
