I have no idea why you're comparing that to venom, that is more like an evolution of the Film Hardwired from 2009. Honestly I think that film was way ahead of it's time and maybe like upgrade a it a bit in retrospect from watching upgrade first. I just don't think these movies are appreciated unless they press some boundaries. Upgrade is really cyberpunk a man that demands to be low tech and is forced into a sci-fi setting. Really great movie. I hate passing up a chance to watch it I've seen it at least a dozen times.
