Does gnome really not have a minimize button? How the fuck to people use this thing?

the idea is supposed to be that whenever your workspace gets too full of windows, you just switch to a new workspace. you'll notice gnome also lacks a proper dock/taskbar for this same reason

It does, but like all useful things in GNOME, it's hidden deep in the system configuration files so people have to install GNOME Tweaks just to get the simplest stuff

its a keyboard shortcut instead

you don't need that

Thats the good thing, you don't minimize

it's a redundant interface according to that faggot that went to work at apple, he said that you can just click on whatever window you want to focus, it achieves the same result as minimize but it's a positive action instead of negative

>went to work at apple
this is a sad cope, I don't know why you even bother

Just turn on the buttons if you care so much

do linux "users" really think this way

No, Gnome devs think that way.

add this one to the list as well

What are you on about?
I have the latest version of ubuntu as well so I am pretty sure is not an update thing
I think one of your gnome extensions is fucking you over user

I like this about GNOME. There are three ways to maximise a window:
>super+up
>double left-click the shade
>right-click then left-click "maximise"

Minimise should not be done, at all, as another user says. If you're not using it now, close it. If you're using it soon, move to another workspace.
I used to manage this shit on Windows with one workspace and alt+tabbed between all my programs all the time. It wasn't until I started using GNOME that I realised this disorganised window management method is inefficient and confusing. GNOME is trying to nudge you to use their method of window management, which some people like myself prefer.

No that's mostly gnome devs

Just double click task bar bro

Why do you need at least two inputs to make something other os do with a single click?

Wonder if you would ask the same question on i3/sway
Go back to windows

>Go back to windows
he probably is a kde nigger

>he needs a minimize button
you're using it wrong

Nice shill. Free systems can't be beaten by propriety although.

Oh boy, that must be the worst fanfic I've ever read on this board.
The fact alone that you can't tell "Linux" and "Desktop Environment" apart shows that you're a clueless shill.

Why do you think a single click is faster than pressing two keys? I don't see people making the same arguments about tiling window managers.
And you don't "need" to do this; you can enable the buttons if you really want them.

Same shit
