2019 16" MacBook Pro is the last good Apple laptop. The M1 generation is a forced reddit meme, prove me wrong.
>no ARM bullshit, x86 works natively >good keyboard >big 16" screen >modern enough to be supported for the remainder of the decade >supports more than one external screen unlike M1 shit
>touchbar >no notch >overheats like crazy nice try
Carter Hill
>touchbar I'll give you that but it has a mechanical ESC, what else do you need anyway? >no notch you're proving my point here >overheats like crazy i9 buyers have only themselves to blame
Thomas Nguyen
>simping for x86 Just let it die
Lincoln Clark
I agree. This will be my first and last MacBook. I vividly remember what Apple did to everyone when OS X Lion released.
My i7 model idles at 30 C. Delusional

Just run Hackintosh on a Thinkpad from the same generation at this point. You'll get better hardware for better price.

overheating, touch bar, needlessly thin, poor port selection, overpriced for what it offered. Just because it was the best MacBook pro to come out from 2016-2020 doesn't make it good. The modern 14/16" Pro's are better buys in every measure.
Luis Martinez
>shit screen >shitty hinges unlike MBP for which a screen can be fixed at mm precision anywhere >shit trackpad
I've played with this meme back in x220 days, there was zero trackpad, screen and hinge improvements in this decade. ThinkPad's have their place but it's not Im-le-smart-apple-runner thing

m1 mba is my favorite laptop of all time. never gets hot and no fan... is that too much to ask for in other laptops? i just use my desktop if i need heavy processing work, my laptop shouldn't ever get hot or run a fan.
