you may not like it, but this is what peak laptop performance looks like

Get a job

my tv has it. it sucks. it makes 1080p look blurry on it if i try to connect Real Machine to a tv

Glad I upgraded.

It works nice with older games.
t. Any Forumsermin

Disgusting
t. went for the 1080p option

I have a 1366x768 Latitude E5450 and it's fine at 14". I'd like a bit more work real estate especially vertically, but it's usable enough

they're shit
and they were shit 20 years ago too

makes me nostalgic for my college years
used to play minecraft and watch porn all day on one of those.

Already shit 15 years ago, even worse now.

how exactly. its still psuedo widescreen so you still gonna be forced to use widescreen patches and other cope
its only good for like late 2000s games at best where they look a bit more smooth at 720p on such displays

probably best for playing games at 1024x768. That was a very common gaming resolution back then.

if I'm in an x-series form factor, I think I would rather have a taller screen than any higher resolution. it's not great but 1080p at that size wouldn't be usable. maybe a 3:2 for a bit more space. then you'd get ~1366x910

It's fine for appliances like smart speakers, watches, car dashboards, and such.
Obviously totally unusable for something like a phone, or god help me, a laptop or desktop, but it has its uses.

cancer

i'll never ever buy a 1366x768 again, they should be illegal at this point

You don't need anything more.

I have it on my laptop due to poverty

Plenty enough for the hoi polloi.

Absolutely disgusting resolution that only exists as a remnant of decades-old 1024x768 displays. If you're gonna skimp out and go for regular "HD", then 1280x800 should be the de facto choice since 720p content will scale properly to it with small letterboxing. Nothing scales to 1366x768; it's not even truly 16:9.

Actually it feels ok on the 12.5 screen. I mean I really haven’t ever thought that it is not enough. But I think it is bad on a bigger displays

I used to have one of these before I had my first job.

Unironically I have had more fun on these kind of low-end PCs than on my triple monitor setup or my 120 Hz gaming laptop today. There is a sort of magic in trying various tweaks, mods and config files to make a game run as a pixelated blob on a tiny screen than just torrenting and running a game without any hassle on medium-high settings on the fly.

Yeah. Back when I was poor I spent ages optimizing Minecraft to run at 60fps while also being able to stream 60fps to youtube on a i5 ivy bridge with integrated greaphics. Spent ages installing mods and fiddling with ffmpeg settings to get it to use the hardware encoder as much as possible to reduce the cpu usage.

It's excessive and a luxury.

Who need more than 320x200?
