I tried to return something to amazon, but it came back to me. My money was already refunded, do I keep it now?
Filed for a return at amazon Got a return receipt with a printable label for USPS Going to some Chinese person's apartment in Indiana. Received my $$ return once USPS scanned the label as received. Box came back to me about 1 week later, with labels: >UNABLE TO FORWARD, RETURN TO SENDER
been 1.5 months since then. no one has contacted me, and i still have the return money & the parcel
send it back or face the full wrath of the Amazon lawyers. the seller can sue you.
Kayden Baker
This, OP. it happened to me before, very common scam.
Parker Taylor
OH NO!
how do i send it back? just give it to the USPS again?
Nicholas Wood
Write a reply to the seller saying that you got it back with the message USPS gave, ask him for a shipping label with a correct address. Chances are he won’t give one, at which point Amazon will let you keep the money and the product.
Eli Fisher
No, that's theft, send it back. Are you a thief?
Mason Campbell
>Are you a thief? no, im a gift-receiver
Kevin Bell
it is always morally correct to steal from chinks
Josiah Flores
obey
Josiah Wilson
i dunno, i kinda like free stuff

Amazon literally takes your return, dumps it into a cardboard tote on a 4 way pallet, and auctions it off. Why do you think they'll let you keep stuff on occasion? It's not worth the cost of shipping and processing the item into the tote in some cases.
Eli Thomas
the seller is chinese. do i write to him in chinese?
Adam Lee
LOL. Yeah okay buddy.
Amazon won't give a shit, and a third party seller consistently gets screwed by abnormalities like this. They aren't going to hire a lawyer for something under $200.
if anything, the seller would likely complain to amazon and amazon would just refund the seller and then sit on their hands.
Lmao.
Op, the item is yours to keep. Forget about it and go on with ur life.
Andrew Brooks
Can you replace the destination address with a non-existent one on the label to make it come back, or will they find the right address using the QR code anyway ?
Nathaniel Harris
1. USPS usually goes by various barcodes now, way faster for machines to sort out everything.
2. Don't try to pull anything with the USPS. they take mail-related fraud & crimes way too seriously.
this happened to me too amazon rep when i called just laughed and said dont worry about it
amazon covers the $ if the seller or buyer squaks
most people dont abuse the system so amazon makes record profits

Just keep it. I got a free book this week because the USPS guy never scanned it as delivered, just out for delivery. Amazon is horrible but their customer service hand out partial refunds (at kinimum) to anyone with no evidence

^meanwhile I returned a phone about a week ago to an ups driver and on amazon it still says "on its way" i dont feel so good bros for cheap items the return last one day and I get refunded three days later at worse
