I’m probably going to get alot of shit for this, but I loved the 2012 version. Original kicks ass too, but I love the comic style corniness of the 2012 version.

if you think aliens is better than the original you have objectively brain damage

t1 is excellent though

It's *shit*. Dredd's got a lot going for it though.

Was that really a sequel? I thought that it was a reboot or a stand alone.
Either way it was pretty good.

The second is just great

You are wrong.
That's not a sequel.

Hard choice tbh
I love them both

It's only his opinion
Nothing wrong with that

tbh I thought Karl Urban as Judge Dredd looked like he was constantly on the verge of laughing his ass off. not the worst approach to take to that role

Is The Thing from 1982 considered the sequel if the one from 2011 is the prequel?

no user that would be the Thing from 1951

Dont think so
But the 1982 is clearly superior yes

I cannot agree, both are awesome in their own way. Alien was suspense and fear, Aliens was anxiety and desperation.
The motion tracker and the pulse rifle are classics, but so is the alien distress signal and John Hurt looking at his chess burster before he dies

Yes, there is. It's a good movie, to be sure, but 'tis not better than the first one.

Agree

I fucking loved that movie user. Better than the sly one.

it's called a remake
speaking of remakes, 80s Scarface was superior to the 1930s original

The new Thing movie was meant to be a prequel, yes. For some odd reason they made a ton of practical effects for the alien but it ended up using CGI anyway and that ruined it entirely. Even though CGI can be awesome, in The Thing it just didnt work because it was such a contrast to the practical effects from 1982.
I read somewhere even the actors thought that was a shame.

It's only a personal opinion. Just respect it.
Don't create a problem where it doesn’t exist

The Thing From Another World starring Herman Munster?
I forgot all about that.
