ITT non computer related hobbies

We all spend too much time on here, what makes you happy irl?
I like to go hiking once in awhile and I go to a martial arts class once a week.
Pic related of the view from the top of a mountain which took way too long to climb

i eat shit and worship satan

i sometimes water plants

I do Qi Gong, study languages, watch Asian dramas (mostly Korean, but also a bit of Chinese), and study political economy and political theory (respectively). Exercise everyday.

Do you have a garden or houseplants? Any pictures? I have a devils ivy plant which I forget to water all the time and I’m very lucky those things pretty much can’t die

I play Xbox tbh

>what makes you happy irl
nothing else but Any Forums, porn and pot

I haven’t heard of qi gong before, looks kind of similar to yoga in that it’s sort of about stretching and tensing different muscle groups.
Is it fun? I might try it
I’m trying to learn Korean, it’s kinda hard without a class because I’m not very self motivated

What games do you like?

>>
Maybe you can pick some stuff up in here

I play poker underground with the russian mafia.

>qi gong
It's like Tai Chi, but there's less movement (at least the exercises I do every morning), so it's easier to get into and remember. As for languages, I just gave up on Japanese after studying it for 10+ years and only reaching conversational level, but Korean's easy to read once you learn the characters.

they are like potted tomato plants in my backyard. i just got started. i wish i had pics but im lazy but they are tiny and look good. very low maintenance and its cool to see them green and healthy whenever everything goes right

I incinerate the liquefied remains of BILLION year old sea creatures, because it's fun.

It’s still too cold in Australia but I can’t wait to plant tomatoes! Mine died a couple years ago when I went on holiday during a heat wave and since then I’ve been renovating the house and backyard, but now I have a space again and I’m so excited I love tomato plants

Sleep on for another 21 days. Another 108 actual days. The power of nike robotiscising people and things. Ah yes. Courage the cowardly dog.

I restore antique tools and machinery.

Musician, like home manufacturing, writing, computers and networking, travel in general, and general outdoorsy stuff. 5 month old daughter so haven’t been able to do anything this summer. But I’m normally a busy dude. Problem is I like doing everything.

I film and direct low budget movies, which does actually involve computers I guess,

Is it considered spiritual or something or can anyone do it? Sounds like a good way to warm up for the day

Yeah I love the Korean alphabet because it’s easy to pick up

Are you talking about like.. driving?

Anyone can do it; not really 'spiritual' unless you want to become a Taoist...

Oh shit do you have any pictures that sounds cool as hell

warhammer, also swim 4 times a week

Yes dude.

Roughly in order of time spent
>guitar/bass
>learning Japanese
>cooking (if that counts. Perfecting my own recipes?)
>strength training
>gardening veggies, herbs and indoor plants
>microscope exploration
>reading books

I gotta be honest those last 2 don't necessarily even happen once a week, but I'll spend anywhere from a minute to an afternoon when I do.

Cooking totally counts, I love to cook and I’m writing down my favourites with adjusted spice measurements and such
The microscope thing sounds real cool too

downhill skateboarding, piano, reading and playing vidya with friends. i enjoy picking up new hobbies though and hearing about what other people are into. there's so much interesting shit in this world and so little time to do it all. In an ideal world I'd have a pilots license, do scuba diving, rock climbing, work on cars, all that shit. But sadly life is too short

Soccer, walking the dog, reading.
A bit of travel.
That's about it.

Been at Nihongo for over a year now. Thanks for the reassurance せんせい, lmao

What car do you drive? And where do you go? We have a lot of mountain drives like half an hour out of the city which are really nicd

Enjoy walking as well as travelling more generally. Quite often on a Saturday I'll get the bus or train to some random town, go for a walk round the area in the morning then spend the afternoon in the cafes and pubs getting to know the place and the people (see picrel). Started doing that when I was 19 and now have hundreds of vague acquaintances in dozens of random places

Also play Sunday league (badly) for my local pub team and do backing vocals for a mate's band sometimes

I want to skateboard but I’m scared as hell tbh, I roller skate sometimes which is fun
I’m hoping some people can pick some hobbies up from this thread tbh, I feel like I see five “I stay inside all day and I’m depressed” threads a day

It's not that Japanese is necessarily 'too hard,' rather, my circumstances haven't exactly been favorable (like getting rejected from every Japan-related job or opportunity during and after university, despite dedicating everything to it, AND failing JLPT N3 four times, and N2 one time since 2016). All my former-friends got it except me.

Hike, ride my bike, shoot guns, play guitar, hang out on my boat, go to the beach, read books, fuck girls (and guys, occasionally) and generally live the best life I can.
My oldfag life tips:
Never live outside your means
Eject all toxic people from your life
Realize your destiny is in your hands, and success or failure is completely dependent on your choices.

thats great, it's good to encourage healthy lifestyles to each other. give it a shot if you really want to, its all about working up to it. spend a good year pushing on flat ground for an hour once or twice a week and you'll start feeling more and more comfortable with your balance. roller blading does look fun as fuck to me but i have no idea how to slow down and ive already been practicing skating for over a decade so I feel very comfortable getting around on a board already. surfing would be fucking awesome but i no longer live near the ocean so its not an option for me right now.

any fishers in the thread? i love being out in nature and fishing is something ive been wanting to pick up
