Remember when Raspberry Pi Zero was supposed to be a $5 computer? I do.

>AMD G-T44R
This processor is garbage even by Raspberry Pi standards.

Wrong.
It's x86, which gives it +1,000,000 points right off the bat.

Where have people got this idea that CPU architecture is important for NAS?

It's slower than single-core Atom netbooks from 2008. Pi gets flak for stuttering on 1080p Youtube videos, this one struggles at 480p.

Fuck here in bulgaria even the shittiest thin clients cost 50+ euros EACH. someone nuke us please.

It isn't. But having native SATA is a plus (not sure how solid the driver support is though, these APUs are kinda exotic)

Just drive to poland lol

No USB3 is a good indicator that this machine is pretty much useless today.

Debian 11 works fine.

For twice the price you can get the 1.65Ghz model with 2GB RAM and 2GB mSATA.

allegro.pl/oferta/fujitsu-futro-s900n-2gb-2gb-terminal-zasilacz-10048681381

It has mSATA, SATA and a PCI slot that can be converted to PCIE-E X1 with an adapter.

Dell Wyse has USB 3 for a couple of bucks more.

allegro.pl/oferta/terminal-dell-wyse-z90d7-zx0-amd-g-t56n-1-65ghz-9405662798

It accepts two standard full size ddr3 12800U.
Sata drive + mSATA

That one's probably in the usable range, if you're fine with the power/heat.

10W idle, 14W full load. Passive cooling.

Maybe not nas but cryptographic instructions are very important if your machine needs high network throughput
And if you use your nas with Idk lets say nextcloud then this can make a difference
Can somebody tell me how competent is this CPU? Also this from I run Fujitsu futro s920 quadcore as a router and I works well

>PCI
lel

Dell wyse can barely run Windows 10 but it can. Futro 900 is a single task machine, no gui.

T56N has a 18W TDP for the APU alone.
If it's configured with a lower TDP, you probably take a significant performance hit.
