>News: Keychron Q9 release in 9 hours as of this post. Feker Alice released (global release in a few days). Megalodon Doio Volador 75% Gasket released. Keychron Q8 released.
No, Ducky, Steelseries, Razer, Corsair, etc. is not good. You are paying for the brand. This applies mildly to Leopold, Filco, Varmilo, and other brands from the late 2000s to early 2010s, which are dated (they are well-built keyboards but do not have any features that are now quite common).
Switches have evolved from the standard red/brown/blue. Use the template and wait for anons to recommend better alternatives.
whats the point of the NCR80 hot swappable keyboard? is it just mostly the retro aesthetic with modern features?
Jackson Perry
lolno, gonna have to remake the thread for that.

>Budget $300 - $400 >Location (continent at least) Europe >Preferred switch type Linear >Layout ANSI >Form factor 65% >Backlight Don't mind having some color, no backlight is preferred >Previous/current keyboards Ducky One 2 Mini RGB (I don't want anything like this shitty keyboard please). Also, I'm going for more of a deep sound signature (Thock)
how are o-rings? do they cause interference with the keycaps or its fine?
Anthony Richardson
keychron q2, fl680 or cmk68 from fl esports on aliexpress
Kayden Nguyen
can someone recommend me a tenkeyless, ISO, PS/2, buckling spring keyboard, preferably a Unicomp, thanks
Justin Cruz
Largely pointless now that you can easily get silenced switches.
Josiah Brooks
silent switches have no sound though, o-rings just decrese the volume
William Jones
Silent switches aren't literally silent, they're about as quiet (if not slightly quieter) than a standard rubber dome board. O-rings will only dampen the bottom out at the cost of noticeably reduced travel.

Recommendations please
>Budget basically infinite >Location (continent at least) Switzerland >Preferred switch type Linear >Layout ISO >Form factor 100% >Backlight preferably rgb but as long as I have some lights it will be good >Previous/current keyboards I used GMMK 1, Gmmk pro currently using Keychron k8 and I like it a lot
I was looking at the Keychron K10, sadly Kechron themselves doesn't ship to switzerland and all other suppliers are out of stock with no information about resupply
thank you

>Budget Ideally Layout ANSI >Form factor TKL, If wireless is an option I'd consider 60% or 65% instead, would also prefer wireless to be honest >Backlight White or RGB is fin unless RGB is an upcharge >Previous/current keyboards Currently use a CODE keyboard that I got as a gift from my brother. Has speed silvers in it before that I used some Logitech one, Orion I think. Its been a while.
Keychron Q8 arrived today after weeks lost in transit. Hefty, knob is wobble-free with a nice notchy detent, and even a 'tard like me adapted instantly (although a slower 85wpn realworld pace).
I wanted an 'ergo' style because I often sit splayed out in a lounge chair when coding (Plycraft Mr Chair + ottomon) that keeps my arms farther apart than a desk chair. The ergo angle helps with that - although I wish the keyboard was wider so it sat on my lap comfortably. non-shill score 8/10
Bobagums or silent alpacas. You'll have to lube the contact leaf and springs of the latter if you want them to be truly silent though.

Would be a great layout... If it had a tilde key. Escape can be shoved off in a corner somewhere.
Ayden Kelly
I want sommething good stock
Elijah Myers
Get bobagums then.

anybody know if the FL-Esports FL750 has on-board memory? it says in the description that it does but wondered if anybody can confirm from experience
Gabriel Ortiz
>no tilde user - im retarded and didn't notice until after my post giving it an 8/10. Updated score trash/10 (maybe windows users can live without it)
Stock mapping is 'right fn2 + esc' - remapped it to 'esc = ~' (not a vim user, so esc is used sparingly). Any recs for a ergo/quasi-ergo TKL or larger?
