FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
github.com/luzea9903/winactivate/releases
HWID mimics OEM activation to generate a permanent legitimate license.
(Does not work on VL editions, avoid VL editions unless you enjoy having to deal with KMS breaking)

>>Which version should I install?
>Home/Pro
Comes preinstalled with bloatware apps like games, music, news, weather, etc.
>Education/Workstation/Enterprise
Comes with basic system apps.
>LTSC/IoT LTSC
Comes with Win32 system apps, no MS Store, no feature updates, security updates only.
If you need MS Store, run this in cmd: wsreset -i
There are no compatibility differences between Windows versions.

>LTSC or IoT LTSC?
LTSC (VL) gets 5 years support (KMS only).
IoT LTSC gets 10 years support (HWID only).

>Do I even need IoT LTSC?
W10 Home/Pro/Edu/WS/Ent editions are all EoL in 10/2025 (2027 for LTSC), IoT LTSC will be supported until 2032.

>How do I activate Office?
rentry.org/fwt#kms_vl_all-by-abbodi1406
Installs a KMS server emulator on your PC for activation. Not ideal as KMS trips AV sometimes and deactivates, but it's the only option. Alternatively, use MSOffice through your browser since it's free. As a last resort, you can try Open/Libre Office and set it to save as Office file formats.

Find the MD5 of the ISO you want. Search and download from anywhere, then verify the MD5 with 7zip.

>Is Optimize-Offline worth it?
No.
>Should I debloat?
If you need to ask, then no. You WILL break something because you didn't read and come back crying about updates/store/whatever not working.

Not yet.

are "optimized" isos like atlasos or ggos worth it?

I'd rather take clean .iso and create own windows image by myself.

I look like this. Don't uoh me.

>need to do a fresh install on this shitty laptop on its last legs
>really want LTSC (IoT)
>...but I just don't trust the ISOs floating around

Yeah yeah, I know, "just check the hash against the hash in those databases bro". But how can I trust that those hashes really are the legit hashes from MSDN? Who REALLY runs heidoc.net and rg-adguard.net? How do I know it's not all some circlejerking elaborate scam?

I just can't trust it bros. I do online banking. I keep sensitive documents. Can you imagine if something terrible happens financially to me. And I'm trying to get compensation from my bank, and they're all like "hmmmm, so you just installed some random Windows you found on the internet instead of the version officially from Microsoft?" They won't care about my protestations of "B-but >muh hash! Heidoc.net, rg-adguard.net and 4channel.org reassured me it was safe!" "No."

So I'm just gonna go with the normal iso straight from Microsoft, choose Education, and activate. I can bring myself to trust KMS_VL_ALL, it's a tiny open source tool. But not a full iso from some random source. This shit laptop won't last 10 years anyway, it's probably got 3 or 4 max left in it, so Oct 2025 is fine. I'll get a new laptop then, or maybe even before, and that will have or be compatible with Win 11.

Anyone else in the same boat as me?

>Who REALLY runs heidoc.net and rg-adguard.net?
two untrusted / random sources agreeing is a pretty good guarantee on safety. The chance of those and the iso source are all in the hands of the **same** malicious actor would be extremely slim.

either way you're fine with Education as well, just remember to upgrade in 3-ish years

Opinions on ReFS?
Is it good idea to use it on HDD drive for storage (and definitely not performance) purposes?

>heidoc.net
a fat white guy
>rg-adguard.net?
this is literally just a proxy to microsoft.com because it requires a linux useragent to serve you an iso instead of the MCT. You'd know that if you bothered to check the url in your downloads tab.
>trying to get compensation from my bank, and they're all like "hmmmm, so you just installed some random Windows you found on the internet

>it's a tiny open source tool
If you had bothered to read it you'd see it has encoded binary blobs in it needed to inject the dll for svchost to call. that's why MAS and a subsequent reinstall are recommended
>Anyone else in the same boat as me?
Cripplingly stupid? Only when six pints deep.
You'd know if you needed it

... which is also open source. Your point?

>a fat white guy
yeah but a good fat white guy or a bad fat white guy?
>this is literally just a proxy to microsoft.com because it requires a linux useragent to serve you an iso instead of the MCT. You'd know that if you bothered to check the url in your downloads tab.
I meant in relation the checking hashes part of this website, not the downloads part.

What about this is so fantastical and far-fetched to you? Have you never dealt with insurance people before in your life? You probably haven't if you live in ur moms basement still. They are total jew cunts and will use any excuse to wiggle out of compensating you. Banks dealing with fraud compensation claims wll be the exact same level of jew cunt.
>Cripplingly stupid? Only when six pints deep.
How about a functioning adult that has real responsibilities in life? You have to take these things into consideration as you grow up. My washing machine broke down recently, after half an hour of checing things I figured out it was simply the heating element at fault. I looked online for a replacement part and it was only like $40, I could easily have bought it and replaced it myself. However...I looked through my home insurance documents, and f something had gone wrong with the replacement, caused a fire or some shit, the home insurance comapny would not have compensated me because they had some shit about any home appliances repairs had to be done by an accredited professional. Felt really stupid as it was such an easy repair, and cheap. But I would be risking so much more in terms of financial loss than the cost of a new machine. And getting an 'accredited professional' to install the part for me, plus the cost of the part = half the cost of a new machine anyway. So I said fuck it and bought a new machine. If you grow up and gain actual responsibility in life you'll learn these things.
