Now that the dust has settled everyone agrees that notches were a good idea, right?
Now that the dust has settled everyone agrees that notches were a good idea, right?
no
giving normal people a computer was a mistake
Hey look, it's the inventor of the fucking smartphone notch posting on Any Forums. Go fuck yourself, you pile of shit. What a fucking horrible idea. You should be ashamed, lose your job, go broke, and be forced to beg on the streets for change.
NIGGER
>Now that the dust has settled everyone agrees that notches were a good idea, right?
Wrong.
They're an understandable and inevitable compromise in favor of thinner bezels.
Granted you can make the top bezels a little thicker (and the bottom one too to keep it symmetrical) and honestly no one would know the difference but I like that there's a space that can only be used by a top bar and it's minimal info so it doesn't take up the main part of the display.
I've always been pretty neutral towards the idea of a notch, I wouldn't mind if all phones had them and neither would I mind if no phones had them.
its more screen real estate, so yes its good. i have that opinion even though i own this:
This.
I'm gonna use my OP 7P as long as it's the only smartphone with no border and no notch on the market.
Every time I see my daughter's iPhone that I pay for, I see the notch and I ask her if the screen is broken. Been doing this since Apple brought in this clusterfuck adaptation and it never fails to make me chuckle. Well done based Apple.
Flip/pop-up cameras are the ultimate solution.
If only they made them manual instead of using an engine
No, they still suck cocks, and were only made so that some pencil pusher can brag in their PR brochure about irrelevant bullshit like screen to body ratio
Well done my friend. I also have this phone and as I never take selfies, I don't have to worry about the mechanism failing. Got a Fold 4 on order and even though it has an under-screen sensor, I'll still never use it because I'm not a social media using vain cunt. Bravo.
I use it from time to time when I don't have a mirror but other than that I don't use it either.
However I haven't even heard of somebody getting their popup mechanism broken lmao. This "it's gonna break" meme is just that. And if it actually did, for me personally I'd keep using it for about one more year.
Nope. Never was a good idea in the first place.
this has to be some sort of huge social experiment
how the fuck did they convince so many people that it's ok for your display to be missing a fucking chunk, when the technology to avoid this has existed for years?
No. Just go back to bezel please I am begging you fucking goddamn OEMs. Catering to bezelless retards was the worst thing ever happened to smartphone industry. Facial Unlock is not necessary to a smartphone.
Based.
I still can't believe this issue was solved years ago but everybody still use notches.
I can't upgrade my phone because anything else would feel like a massive downgrade.
Fuck you and fuck your nigger notches. Your question is fundamentally flawed because smartphones were not a good idea. The masses should not have such a powerful device in their pockets because the masses are a bunch of dumb, pliable niggercattle. Democracy is fake and gay because the people are retarded. I hate all of you and I want everybody to die.
>missing a chunk
you mean gaining two chunks of space that used to be taken up by the top bezel?
i have not once used my front facing camera
fucking no
picrel is the way
cool, but fragile-ish
I did actually come up with the idea of the notch years before it happened, it always seemed kind of obvious to me.
