The 2500k was truly a beast of a CPU. Mine would still be doing everything I need it to do with top tier performance if only I had regularly cleaned my fans. Ran it overclocked for 7 years without adequate cooling and one day it just died.

>tfw still have a 2500k in the closet
maybe I should get some small server running with it

It's hourly,
It's poorfag,
It's cope,
And it's a thread (obviously).

Smells like poor people in here.

You know that 2500K struggles now even OC'ed SKUs under modern software/content?

god the amount of poorfags shilling apple because they think they look rich and sophisticated.. it's just.. sad, realistically.. so pathetic, a bunch of stuffy pajeets trying to prove they are rich at any given moment even if the thread is unrelated

the guy looked homeless, he (quite literally) never showed, didn't shave, barely changed his clothes.. and relied on other people to do the hard work while he just stood on a stage and said random bullshit low iq retards applaud to because they didn't understand what he said

Used Ryzen are cheap and humiliate any old Intel

>t. looking for confirmation that their consoomer purchases were valid

Meanwhile, in reality, you can just get an old B350 board and first-gen R5, and later when you have money buy an R7 5800X3D and swap it in after a BIOS update.

The only people still using these old quadcores are people waiting to upgrade their old gaming rigs or hobbyists who just needed a CPU for something like a server or whatever.

i know intel cpus, but never got into the amd lore and the names of their cpus seem confusing, can you get me up to date real quick? :)

there is not a soul that was still running p4 single core in 2010

16 years and still holds

>company rehashing the same product over and over means product right before the rehashing started is good
nah

so, basically the words
"AMD Ryzen 5"
are like saying
"intel COREi 5"
?
(not saying that they are the same series or time frame just contextually)

holds my ass, shit barely works what are you on about

nevermind, intel's core is a family (by amd naming logic)

works on my machine

Looks the same to me
