What I found odd was that the government basically said "yeah probably aliens or something" and the world (myself included) gave a resounding "who cares". I blame science fiction, I've been accustomed to the idea of aliens for so long thanks to popular media that when seeing evidence of them it's just like "meh, yeah I figured they were real"
