Why is Any Forums (and Any Forums at large, but to a slightly lesser extent) so hateful now? I've been on here a over 10 years and there was always some inflammatory personalities and content, but for the most part it was just people fucking around. It seems different now though, like people actually want to fucking kill each other. I miss the days where I could just shoot the shit with some anons and have a blast doing stupid crap on the internet. Hacking, raiding other sites, ordering tons of pizzas to people, watching movies, etc.
Is it just because of how polarized the world has become? A psyop? A new generation? Or am I just looking at things through rose-colored glasses?

Shit like the fucking bbc threads and other Any Forums threads are trying to get races to hate each other. Any Forums actually fuckin radicalized a kid recently, the Buffalo faggot. Knowing the people over there, I know they feel no responsibility for what happened.

It stems from the accessibility of the internet. Years ago, the demographics of Any Forums were tech savvy desktop users. Social outsiders perhaps but usually well educated with a firm grasp on the difference between real life and the Internet.
Now smartphones are ubiquitous and internet use, especially social media use, has blurred the lines for a lot of retards who don’t have good critical thinking skills but can get online no problem now.
The user base of Any Forums and the Internet in general is now proportionately more like the population at large, whereas before a lot of NEETs would have been excluded through lack of knowhow or the expense of a computer.

This place is like that by design and always has been.
>People intentionally have shitty politicL takes just to start flamewars because they get a hit of dopamine every time someone replies to their thread
>Hiromoot pockets the ad revenue from boosted website engagement
>Everyone ends up a bitter retard who thinks the world is shit and now they have a scoial media addiction
Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, they're all designed this way on purpose. These websites are tailored to keeping you on their platforms by making you more miserable. You're being exploited by men in suits every time you get into a political argument on the internet. This is whats the root cause of the mental health crisis
>But why is it so bad now?
You have rose tinted goggles on. This place really was never particularly good. I will say that back when Any Forums had a much bigger otaku community discussion wasn't quite as inflammatory but that was really only the case until Chanology in 2006

I get 350 replies regularly just for posting the "I'm proud of my heritage" threads lmao. I barely even interact with anons in it either, and I'm not even american.

I think the world has become more hateful. For a while I felt more hateful. I realized my mind was not being as open and more angry. I let politics and religion take center stage in my life and it changed me to feel angry. More so politics because of Trump and my intense feelings about him. I let things change my personality and I regret that. I have made friends angry with me and not realize it. For that, I apologize, stress has been eating away at me. Any Forums brought me laughs and a feeling I could talk and discuss things in an open environment. Maybe I didn’t know the rules when I came here and tried to understand as best I could. I don’t use social media and I’m not a joiner of any other places but Any Forums and /x/. Maybe I just don’t belong and I understand that, maybe anons like me have no place to go anymore. I don’t know much of anything anymore because everything is complicated more than it should be in this world today. Maybe I’m just obsolete. No matter what views different anons had I respect their views and liked to debate.

At risk of sounding cliche, Any Forums has always kinda consisted of "outcasts" for the most part. I guess that's the group people would target, it just sucks it had to be here.
I dunno how much intelligence had to do with it, there were always complete retards here. But I guess that'd just imply even droolier retards in the real world...
Agreed on your first point %100.
>You have rose tinted goggles on. This place really was never particularly good. I will say that back when Any Forums had a much bigger otaku community discussion wasn't quite as inflammatory but that was really only the case until Chanology in 2006
I dunno man, I definitely got a weird sense of community when a bunch of weirdos got together with some stupid "goal" and just threw bants and themselves at it for a while. I can't even remember the last time I saw something like that happen, it really does just seems like people chasing the dopamine that comes with anger and porn.

exploitation of sunken cost fallacy, if you spend time defending your ideas you create more content
desire to be understood.
Requires 'a' and 'b' 'a' expressing 'b' absorbing; the absorber has multiple options, but an aggressive tact can create a domino engageing a savior complex for 'c' c inclusion justifies 'b' while sunken cost propels 'a'
ugly; I prefer just 'a' and 'b'

I assumed that "b was never good" was a challenge to make b good, a call for the ambitions.

Me too, I have always thought that. I just wanted to see new memes get made and just a bit less politics on Any Forums and anons just baiting for the sake of baiting and not for keks. I think Any Forums is good and I do believe it can be better. I just don’t know how to make that happen. I just feel no one cares and sometimes that does frustrate me.

Most stuff I read on the internet anymore just sounds backhanded, kind of like a redditor typed it out thinking people liked the sweet drippins of their sarcastic faggotry. I don't even think they know they do it either. I can't not hear it in a whiny bitchy voice.

defense of your ideas requires conviction and passion and in a passionate environment that is easier.
an inarticulate way to express passion is ad homonym attacks.

>This place really was never particularly good.
This fucking retard parroting what all “true 4chon users” always say.
This place definetely never was as mediocre as it is now.
It had its period where the quality of users was beyond what we’re left to deal with now and you could actually be entertained in many ways at all times on here.
We get it, you want people to think you’re the oldest of oldfags but nobody fucking cares and your opinion is dogshit.

when you fart do you just start inhaling or save it in a jar for later?

>an inarticulate way to express passion is ad homonym attacks.
Not everyone has the ability to be articulate. I don’t usual use fancy words to make myself seem above anyone or do I ever want to come off like that. Some people, and I am guilty also, just attack and don’t even understand what another user is trying to explain. That’s fine, it’s, I don’t like what you said so let’s attack you. Even though what they say is the same, just an opposite view.

>kind of like a redditor typed it out thinking people liked the sweet drippins of their sarcastic faggotry. I don't even think they know they do it either. I can't not hear it in a whiny bitchy voice.
Redditors do it because they are actually really shitty people in real life so they use the internet to virtue signal progressive issues and construct strawmen out of people who dissagree with them, because its a way of giving yourself moral standards with the least amount of effort or critical thought. And no, I don't automatically think progressive issues are bad, I think Redditors are bad, and they use progressive issues as a way of hiding their insecurities

>fancy words
do it

>Sodium benzoate in Mountain Dew can impair brain development Sodium benzoate is a preservative added to several types of soda to increase its shelf life. In clinical trials, sodium benzoate impaired memory and motor coordination, increased malondialdehyde levels in the brain (a marker of oxidative stress) and produced ADHD in children (12).

Is everyone that doesn’t agree a redditor? I don’t agree with a lot, would that make me a Reddit user? I don’t use Reddit but I’m sure many think I do. Why does everything have to be one side or the other, always…

Why don’t you just say what you have to say….

>radicalized
Way to repeat what you heard on the news, kike.

>a baby's got to do what a baby's got to do.

Attached: image-placeholder-title.jpg (1200x795, 59.23K)

Again, I’m asking you to say what you have to say. I’m right here, why don’t you just state your problem? I am.. what’s your problem with me

People become more extreme on the internet because, as it turns out, raw text is actually a really bad method of communication. Conversing in real life simply has more nuance than text on the internet, theres social cues and nuances in speech that are lost when put into words. In other words, you are actually removing context and information when you use only social media to socialize. Thats why people are more passionate on the internet, because they have to be in order to get their point accross and feel understood in a competitive social enviornment. The internet is making people two-dimensional. I guaruntee you that the person you called retarded online is actually a very polite person in the real world

Once again, social media companies deliberatly exploit this so you stay on their platforms

>I assumed that "b was never good" was a challenge to make b good, a call for the ambitions.
Nah, it was a literal "this place is a shithole" kind of statement, but now I wish we'd thought of it as a call to action. I guess I'm just as responsible as everyone else though, I definitely could've contributed more and started trying to kick shit up again when things really started going down.

It was always a shithole, but 2016 kicked it into overdrive when political faggots heard about it. The media told everyone that it was full of evil right wing nazi bigots, so the Trumplings came here looking for their kind and the SJWs came here looking to argue with them.

No, not everyone who dissagrees is a Redditor. You have to have a passing experience with that website to understand what me and the other user mean.

Ok, I understand what you’re saying. Just feels a lot, that if an anons views don’t align with the rest they get attacked. It’s no different than Reddit if, that’s how Reddit is. That’s why I’m not on fucking Reddit, that would be boring with everyone agreeing on everything. What would be the point in that? To hear everything you want to hear all the time?

Thats when the bbc spam started

>lowkey request request for fat, meaty, extra juicy bbc detected
here ya go buddy

Humanity is responding to the exposure of reality and the collapsing of their delusions like the fearful animals they are. Instead of progressing and finding healthy ways to cope woth pur shared and collective suffering, we are regressing back into a primitive ignorance.

Yeah they are parasitic in nature, anything to stroke that karma score on their $9999.99 **BUY IT NOW** reddit account (complete with over 10 reddit golds) that whole community is dogshit, same with most other self ascribed savvy users of social media platforms. The faggotry never ends mi amor

I want to give up on humanity more then I’m betting most really do. But, here I am, arguing with anons that hate me. Why, because someone has to and I care. And I’m dammed for saying this, I actually like Any Forums. Even though I don’t agree with probably 90% or more views, here I am.

Troll away, you bother me not. I asked, it’s your problem if you won’t respond to my request to know. Don’t blame me for the lack of understanding.
