It's the "best" if you completely ignore price/performance, have a boner for team red, disregard games where it underperforms via posting averages and only ever do gaming.

OP spams a biased /pcbg/ before bump limit because he need to push his agenda. For instance,
>Gaming: R5 5600/X, i5 12400/F+cooler >Take into account transient spikes when sizing your PSU to your GPU, especially with Nvidia
is part of his fiction that pretends all Intel and Nvidia components have worse efficiency than AMD components, which is false. As an example, the 3060 Ti is more efficient than the 6700 XT. If we consider the line about the cooler, it's a jewish attempt to make LGA1700 seem more expensive than AM4. If the RM1 (Intel's stock cooler) can get almost full multicore performance from a power unlocked 125W+ i7 12700, it obviously has no problem with the 65W 12400, especially in gaming workloads, as proven below.
So would a Ryzen 7 5800X be better price wise and slightly less performance wise?

yes
Need you ask?

Depends on the game. The 5800X3D is a gaming only CPU. If all you play is Factorio, the 5800X3D is better, but if you play Warzone, or most other shooters that aren't already getting 300+FPS (e.g. Valorant), generally an OC'd 12600K will be better for cheaper. For reasonably paired GPU + resolution single player gaming, a $400+ CPU is a waste of money, and it will often perform no better than an i5 in games like Warzone or Spiderman that actually need other CPU resources besides cache.
Obviously. It performs under a 5800X for multicore tasks like rendering
The 5800X3D is too expensive for what it is, outside of niche games. Of course OP would like to ignore this fact because he's a red team fanboy

Forgot image. Keep in mind this is 1080p, and you've pretty much got to be a retard to pair a high end graphics card with 1080p
Damn, didn't realize the other thread was at bump limit. Going to repost- I've been searching around and I can not for the life of me get a good answer on Google. Im looking for a 1080p higher refresh rate monitor. But my big issue is I want really good colors and contrast, I hate the gray and washed out black on my monitor. I think I've been spoiled since my phone is Oled and my secondary monitor is a graphics tablet. I don't want to make the jump to 1440p because I'm using a 1650super and it also wouldnt match my graphics tablet resolution. What would you suggest I look into purchasing. Thanks for the assistance
Reposting from previous thread: Thanks for all the opinions guys. There was a lot to dig through and I mixed and matched some of the advice from various posters.
>GPU Upgraded as suggested. >CPU Ditched the OC variant since I don't need it. The F version should be fine, right? Given that I do have a dedicated GPU. >Cooler Picked something less expensive since I don't OC and the stock cooler is probably insufficient for more performance intensive games. If it's still overkill, I can downgrade to the regular Dark Rock. >Motherboard I think I'm gonna stick with my option since I'm a pussy (people complaining about not ideal results online). But it's not a huge difference in price and might be good for future upgrades. >HDD Opted for something bigger for ease of use. Also CMR, since it actually HAS been bottlenecking me in some tasks. >SSD I don't see how it's overkill. 1 TB is easily filled by the games + mods I have installed. >Power Supply Upgraded like people have pointed out.
Any more opinions? Otherwise I think I'll just start ordering the parts.
F variant is fine, if you can afford the non-F non-K, it's just nice to have in case of troubleshooting and whatnot. A z690 is unnecessary but if you have to have it, then whatever.

>fails Is this what we've come to for a 3% variance now?
It doesn't fail, shithead. In fact either CPU can run Assetto Corsa Competizione well, with an 8% difference in minimums at 1080p, at which I might add no self respecting sim racer runs the game.
Additionally, I didn't say that the i9 is a good CPU. I said that Warzone needs a good CPU.
>beaten Hey horserace user, looks like the 5800X3D "loses" in Warzone. You can have your "wins" in Factorio with your $450 CPU
