Gibson vs Fender? Who is the best?
Gibson vs Fender? Who is the best?
Fender

He's talking about guitars retard
Schecter. Bite me
Schecters are underrated. Good bang for your buck. Comparable with Ibanez.
They both really kind of suck to be honest OP. Depends on your style of playing. I would say they are both adequate for rock and blues. I don't like the necks on fender and I don't like the bodies of Gibsons.
I will say that older Fenders and Gibs were made much better. They really just play off their name now. For thousands of dollars I can buy a very very nice guitar, and that would definitely not be a newer Fender or Gibson. I played on a Gibson prototype that was owned by Les Paul, one of the models he got to test for Gibson to decide on how to go about designing the final product. It was a very nice guitar
Jay Turser (Tursor?) guitars beat both of them and cost half as much.
Gibson have horrendous QC issues and have had them for several decades now. They rely entirely on brand loyalty from rich twats who live in denial. Funnily enough, their cheap brand, Epiphone has significantly better quality products. But if choosing between these two in particular, Fender.
If you don't know with 98% certainty, then your answer is First Act.
>buy a cheap piece of shit just because you don't know the intricacies of guitar brands your first day of playing
Eat a bag of dicks elitist piece of garbage
Eh, he's got a point. Gibson have literally been overpriced trash for about 30 years.
I've been thinking of picking up an Ibanez SR500EBM as a starter bass. The local gear shop has a demo model on sale now for super cheap. I haven't really played since high school, but I'm feeling the itch to get back into it.
Plenty of very accomplished guitar players still swear by Gibsons. Not saying they don't have issues and are leaning heavily on their famous name, but to call the whole line trash is just talking shit.
First Act actually use to be a world class custom shop. Then someone decided it was a good idea to flood Walmart with cheap toys, and it all went down hill from there.
Those players get hand built customs...nothing off the factory line. Their entire factory line has been trash for ages. That's just the reality of comparing them against any other decent manufacturer on the market.
Yeah, sorry I don't buy it. I think you're just taking a shot at the big guy for the sake of doing so.
You don't have to buy it. Reality doesn't give a shit what you think.
You've presented no reality. You gave a contrarian opinion and didn't back it up at all.
Gretsch
Mine's good. They're turning themselves around.
>contrarian opinion
It's a known fact amongst guitarists with an IQ above double digits that Gibson have been trash for ages. Not my fault you're a mouthbreather.
>it's a meme that elitist fags pass back and forth
Is what you're really saying
i like both, playing wise they are both good but obviously use different pickups so they get different sounds
i played a gibson sg for a long time and that was my first real guitar- i play a strat now and i fucking love it- really i can't say which i prefer more.. i wish i still had that sg
but personally i love my strat now i'm really happy i bought it and i do think i kinda prefer fender now- but overall quality especially in the cheaper brand epiphone compared to squier gibson might have more options and value
