Why are houses expensive?
Why are houses expensive?
To keep you from owning one.
More like, why are cardboard houses so expensive?
because the jew says so
Greed and bad appraisers. Appraisers are a bullshit profession that don't use fundamentals and not enough of them put their foots down. Sorry but your shithouse the size of a double trailer built in the 50s is not worth 300K more than it was 2 years ago just cuz.
They’re really not, problem is that people have this idea that they “need” to live certain places for lifestyle reasons and price themselves out of options.
Supply and demand
Cause they cost a lot. Plywood, bricks, steps
But people who own a house don't give a fuck what it's worth, just that it is theirs. Of course the banks hold the mortgage, but ultimately it is yours.
>>Zoning laws and restrictive permitting
>>Predatory practices of companies like Zillow, which purchased an obscene number of homes then defaulted and sold their whole inventory for pennies on the dollar to "rental" companies
>>Rich people who are literally rent seekers
>>Booms demanding their shit shacks sell for 4x what they paid so they can move into the new shitty McMansions being sold for 150% over value
>>Supply chain issues driving up material costs
>>A lack of truly affordable rental properties
>>Highly restrictive and predatory mortgage lending practices
>>Overvaluations to jack up property taxes to prop up bloated local governments
I could go on but those are the big ones for why they are so high in the US right now.
>why are the houses in a state that has more people than all of canada so expensive
It's a tough one to crack isn't it?
Capitalism, their free in Commie societies.
Because nobody knows how to build them
Highly based
>their

The population is almost the same, I doubt most of Canada even approaches those prices.
