Do you ever gamble?

Do you ever gamble?
Tell me if I'm wrong about this, but gambling is more logical than borrowing money. Let's say you have most of your money for you investment, if you gamble it, assuming the game in the cassino isn't rigged, you have a coin flip to get that investment in full, that's a way better deal than you would get in the bank, if you ask me

If you lose though...........

>if you gamble it, assuming the game in the cassino isn't rigged

A roulette will cannot be beaten. A craps table cannot be beaten. Slots cannot be beaten.
They are -EV. (with about a 52% edge to the casino)
Fucking retard.

You won't be a debt slave to some bank, you lose but still win

I started online roulettes recently, lost a 100 bucks real quick. Now playing carefully and making the money last. Good for a thrill but I feel bad enough for this loss to not risk it all again

Only sportsbetting, and I wait until playoffs on leagues I’ve watched a lot of all season long. I also refrain from bets on individual players. Typically I create parlays where the first event is likely and then cash out before the second event begins to get a split difference.

Only small amounts on online slots with a big progressive jackpot (at least 7 figures). I know I will almost certainly lose money, but it's still kinda fun and also nice to imagine "what if" scenarios.

As long as you go into it knowing you will lose money in the long run and stick to a sensible budget/limit, I don't see how it's any different to paying for any other form of entertainment.

Gambling is probably the worst addiction there is, because all the other ones will kill you eventually.

I used to play live poker which is softer to play and the casino doesn't rig it, they just take their commission from the hand played and that's it

This guy knows

In poker, you can do everything right, and still lose.

I shoot dice with my friends all the time. That’s about it. Way more fun than the Casino because you can take your friends cash instead of some Indians.

>also nice to imagine "what if" scenarios.
This is what idiot lottery players think

i gamble for a living. literally.

doesn't know shit. i promise.

The House has a 2% edge

on roulette? in america typically higher. tilted roulette wheels are a thing. very rare. would also need someone who knows what to do with one once found. but very exploitable if found.

Sorry, I still don't understand. Could you please explain with smaller words?

Idiotic players buy lottery tickets as a retirement plan. It's not idiotic to buy 1 ticket just for a bit of hope/escapism

56% sounds waaay too high. I've heard that the coin is more likely to land on the side which is facing up initially though

>Assuming the game in the casino isnt rigged
Oh you sweet, sweet little summer child...

For years I have made the suggestion for a page on 4 Chan for gambling but nothing

Why would they need to rig it? The games are already mathematically in their favour, so they win in the long run regardless.

/sp/ has /bet/ (but that's only for sports betting) and the occasional poker thread.

You're fucking retarded. Normally I'd just nod my head in agreement while you lose all your shit but I don't want casinos to take it.

>assuming the game in the cassino isn't rigged, you have a coin flip to get that investment in full
No, you don't. All games you play against the casino have a house edge.
Given how many places gambling is illegal, it would be a constant headache for the admins.

Gambling is for people with nothing left to lose.
Investing, stocks, and crypto is gambling with extra steps. Cash and barter is king. I refuse to gamble because I have an addictive personality tand would ruin myself with gambling and I know it. Know when to fold 'em.
