all degrees are a meme

Hey, isn't that bannable?

Yeah, I was about to go CS but then I realized it's literally all tranny's and low test men. So I decided to study physics

>implying i wont reset my router and clear my cookies
>implying i wont be shitposting again in 5 minutes after i get banned

choosing your area of study based on some random faggot on the internet cements your place in the gayest ring of hell.

>Mathematics
>God tier

Pure mathematics is, almost by definition, one of the most useless things you can do at college.

t. Chemist

How the fuck are theology and philosophy two tiers above history?
At least history studies things that actually happened and not abstract fairy tale bullshit

i do not want to do ANY of these

>I couldnt understand pure math so I learned chemistry
Many such cases(all chemistry students in fact)

I did undergrad in physics and switched to CS for my MS/PhD. It's so much better and unironically less autistic than physics.

If I made this biomechanical engineering, cybernetics, cryptograpy, machine learning, and quantum programming, would all be at the top.

I studied chemistry as a laugh, just because I wanted to know it. It's kind of cool to know where to put salt where the dog pissed on the carpet, I guess. Other than that it's really useless outside of specialisation.

This is now a cyoa thread. Everyone pick 2 majors and a minor and headcannon the powers you get

Pure math is the most useful of all majors; a solid foundation in math opens the gate to virtually any hard STEM field. I wish I had done pure math instead of physics.

stem majors literally too retarded to post on the proper board.

imagine not working at a hedge fund with nothing more than some shitty poly sci degree and making more than any stem major ever will.

post this in r9k where you belong.

Psych degrees at least look good and indicate some degree of societal understanding, theology and poli sci are Wal-Mart manager degrees. What in the actual fuck is someone going to do with archeology? It's not as useful as general environmental science. This list is shit tier.

Yeah I just said I didn't learn pure mathematics and studied chemistry instead.

Your understanding of this stuff tells me you're not exactly speaking from a learned place, at all.

You study things to understand them. I didn't understand chemistry either, until I studied it.

In my head anyone with a psych degree is already coping. I think an English degree is more impressive.

Okay retard.

Why are people allowed to take useless degrees if they're useless? Why don't the universities just get rid of them?

>Quantum programming definitely isn't a major offered by any school, retard.

Since they deleted their post.

I like physics but neuroscience makes my peepee harder in ways physics alone cannot manage, so here we are.

I deleted it because I didn't realize I had the auto-post timer on and didn't finish the second half. QP definitely isn't a thing at any uni.

You're right, kind of. I was mostly just going along with the spirit of the dumb tier meme because, continuing with your logic, pure symbolic logic is philosophy - the humanities.

It's just the way things turned out most humanities courses are continental, liberal arts, crap.

Pure symbolic logic is still math. Philosophy students do some retard dumbed down tier logic generally from my understanding.

CS is pretty much applied maths

Plus logic has close connections with (practical) CS like SAT solvers or type systems/automatic theorem provers. It turns out that mathematical proofs and computer programs are the same thing. Logical implication (->) is just a function type, and inhabitants of that function type (i.e. things of type P -> Q) are proofs of that logical implication. Or logical conjunction (P /\ Q) is just a pair/tuple type (P,Q) so a pair (x,y) of type (P,Q) is a proof of the logical statement P /\ Q. It's actually pretty cool imo

What is Communications? Is that like working in broadcasting for radio? Sounds at least a little useful.

What about Data Analyst?
t. Data Analyst

yup it's radio, TV broadcasting near the end. it's a Liberal Arts course like Political science and Philosophy. Concentrates more on the language/medium aspect.

t. got a bachelor's in communications

enjoy never having a job

Finance beats the shit out of all those degrees if you're socially adept.
t. Work in Investment Banking making $170k straight out of college

here i fixed it.

post timestamped tax form, ID card or you're full of shit.
even if you true you're in NYC where 170K is like below the poverty line
