It seems that we've seen it all: electronic computers, DNA computers, quantum computers. Maybe you've seen optical computers, too. In reality, it's a bit more complex than that, since we have to work with the properties of electrons, photons, atoms, and molecules, but the basic concept behind Andy's latest concept is the same.
In its most basic form, Andy's shit log computer works by exploiting the phenomenon of entropy. Entropy is a concept that describes the randomness of a physical system as a function of its energy and the volume of space. Andy's shit log is particularly dense in entropy.
Here's the concept in action: when you move your hand across a hot log, the entropy of the system increases as heat is transferred to your hand. When you move the hand away, the entropy decreases.
But that's just the beginning. As the entropy of Andy's shit log decreases, it begins to develop internal connections. What are the potential relationships between a group of entropies?
