Hey anons, I know this place is a mess of people that truly couldn't give a rats ass about me or anyone else on this hellhole of a board, but I need your help. I'm 20 years old and flunked out of university (my legal guardians shipped me to a Christian university that they had been forcing down my throat for 12 years that I utterly hated and just quit going to classes during a massive suicidal period during COVID) my biological mom was the one who took me in. She's been through hell for me and I've been a son deserving of death during the time she didn't have custody of me and up until I moved in.

My mom broke her back in 2004 and ever since then her life has been a hell of chronic pain and constant surgeries at least one a year, and my father is dead so she has no income other than disability, and we live off of food stamps and whatever money my grandparents can afford to help us out with right now.

I'd not be asking for help if it weren't getting dire but we're close to filing bankruptcy, and my brother and mom's sister have had to help with bills, but money is tighter than ever for us. I've been out of work since December 19th due to a knee injury my company never compensated me for. I can't drive until after surgery and rehab, even if I could afford the gas. I have what seems like a 50$ Chromebook since I've had to waste 126$ on trying to replace my laptop's charger 4 times only to receive the wrong one each of the 4 times. I also have a phone.

What can I do without resorting to begging, which if I have to I will, but I'd really prefer not to. I can't stand being such a leech on my mom's life right now.

I don't have much to offer in return for advice or any of the kindness you might show me, but I can send a few memes, attempt to do any assignments you may have, or really whatever I can with just a laptop or phone.

you can do some shitty office job, like data entry or something like that for now. Without knowing a trade you are pretty much done for so you must learn a trade ASAP. you are only 20, if you move fast and go to school for something practical like fucking wielding or plumbing by 28 you would be upper middle class

Look for a non shit restaurant and wait tables. I work 25 hours a week and make like 600 a week. Good for people in 20s and flexible with schedules

You should be scouring through job boards of Craigslist, or local sites whatever they might be, for any kind of labor job. I started changing air filters. Then I worked in dpw, then fell into a job of a debt collector for a couple of years, then got into data analyst entry level job and now I make decent salary albeit at expense of my sanity. You have to start somewhere gathering any kind of skill. Then you kinda graduate to some new job involving the skill you gathered + some new thing you gotta do. But graduating means you go out look for a better job yourself because now you have a skill to offer and you have shown you can learn a skill / keep a job. I imagine getting a full time warehouse gig locally shouldn't be too hard. You gotta put yourself out. Go in and tell them I need a job may I apply if you are in need of help. You do 3 every day and by end of week you will have a job I guarantee you.

Whatever I can depending on the price, and payments up front cuz I'm not abandoning my self respect for a risk of not being paid.
