You can get unemployment for under performance. Happened to me at ATT. They'll try to "give you the option to quit" at some point so they dont have to deal with unemployment. Dont listen to that BS and let them fire you. No new company gives a crap whether you were fired or quit with two weeks notice. If a new company asks what happened just say "it wasnt a good fit". Also never shit on the previous managers in an interview

OK, so most of it basically comes from lack of experience. You probably never worked in that job before and they must have sucked at training your ass. Probably some half hearted training too.

Then they have the gall to reprimand you for them sucking to train you and/or you having to look at notes/double checking multiple times to be sure not to make any mistakes. They are reprimanding you for something that is natural or their own fault.

What you are doing is taking it slow to avoid mistakes. In accounting, this is a nice trait to have and I tell my accountants to take it slow rather than make careless mistakes. Apply for another job like that and you'll see that not all of them are like that.

You should tell your boss that it's not your job to compensate for their poor hiring abilities resulting them into being understaffed and tell them to fuck off if they want an accountant that does things thoroughly. Speed and perfection comes with time. It's not something you can realistically expect from someone working there for less than a month.

imagine working at a mechanic shop and fucking up so badly you aren't assigned a general area of the car. You are the assistant like holding the light or getting the screws. What does this have to do with OPs problem though?
If you're working in the industry for 10+ years and you fuck up badly, it's ok and reasonable to be reprimanded. However you should be able to regain trust. If not, just quit.
But if you are literally new to the job/company, it's ok to fuck up at first.
