My desktop is 10 years old. It works good but I have some extra money and I'm wondering if it's a good moment to buy a new one. Any advice?

Food shortages and inflation are about to hit. Save your money.
Maybe a raspberry pi if you can find one, or a used laptop.
Wait until your current one breaks or the market improves

I had i5 [email protected] OC. It was awesome, but 10 years is 10 years. So I bought AMD Ryzen 5 5600G last year. It’s overclockable and has integrated GPU good enough for older games like GTA V @1080p. I’m satisfied, but there must be better offers by now, you should look around.
If you'd rather have a faster cpu instead of bitches jumping on your dick for a bowl of rice that's your choice.

You're better off asking Any Forums
But you can build a pc now if you want.
The crypto crash stabilized the graphics card market.
The only thing is that Nvidia is likely going to be releasing their next card in the next 6 months or so. And there's a good chance it'll have huge improvements in the efficiency of ray tracing, DLSS, and w.e. ai tech Nvidia decides to come up with.
So if your current computer still works, I'd wait(tm)
Now is the time. GPU prices are the lowest they have been in years.
life isnt all about sex and women
Yessir you can get cheap amd4 mobos and cpus right now because they're officially end of life as am5 is releasing soon, but performance wise they still far exceed pretty much all consumer needs. Gpu prices have also cratered so if you're a gamer right now is the time to jump in and build a badass rig that'll last you another ~10 years
Don't lie!
I work in the business, it's actually a good time to buy, basically the major PC OEMs are seeing a slowdown and are discounting. So if you want a pre-built, it's a great time and it's also a great time if you want to build your own.

Good luck and happy gaming brother!
Your biggest problem will be the OS. if you buy anything pre-built it will come with Windiws 11, insufficient RAM, and the bare minimum Video Card. See what a Computer Shop can offer in parts, and build your own.
Lol yes it is. What are you planning to do with your fancy new computer, look at higher resolution porn? Fucking lmao

Maybe just do some upgrades on your current one until it breaks. If you have a hdd swap it out for a solid state drive, two 8gb sticks is a necessity nowadays as well.
If it works well enough for you then there isn't much reason to.
Any decent (at the time) 10 year old CPU is plenty fast enough for just day to day usage. Now if you're doing AAA gaming, video encoding etc etc then sure upgrade but if you're not noticing any problems then you're just wasting your money.
Just wait another 5-10 years you will be able to have 50,000 cores in a phone and use that as a desktop
Still nowhere near pre pandemic levels. Given all the shit that's yet to come, I'd wait it out until black friday where retailers try to dump their existing stock for when all the next gen shit comes out.
Even the top RTX 30 series can not deliver 100+ fps in AAA games.
Wait for 40 series or better
