KHHV 27 year old 6' 1" autist here, I need help and /adv/ won't offer any
Can one of you take the time to help me find me something to do? Im in Austin, TX. I have no money and moved here six months ago. I wont have any significant disposable income until July 15th. My body and mind are itching to get out of the apartment but I just can't get motivated because everything i really want to do like bike clubs and martial arts is behind a paywall
I am open to almost anything except clubbing and bars
even if none of those things are what you 'REALLY' want to to, just give something a fucking go.

I live in Austin. Go rent a kayak at ladybird lake. Its a fun thing to do alone but you can meet others there and its relatively inexpensive. I like to go around 9:30am since its not too hot out yet and theres less people. I'd recommend Rowing Dock but theres plenty of places to rent from.

This. Good post.
Alexander King
i cant swim

Sometimes you see titties at Barton Springs
Connor Allen
ok i'll try a few but tbh most of this is just tourist shit
Daniel Ramirez
yeah, but you've only been there 6 months, have you actually done any of it? Broaden your horizons my friend, maybe you'll finally get to hold hands if you diversify your interests a bit.
Christian Nguyen
you realize its just gonna be me standing awkwardly by myself and taking pics with my DSLR right? Im not a socialite and i hav an inferiority complex Im hoping something just 'happens'
Bentley Torres
I am from California but I might get relocated to Austin for work. Do you think I will like it there?
Aaron Bennett
thats your problem, you have these crazy expectations. As someone else said, just go out there for a walk with no expectations. If you don't go out thinking "This will be the time some qt will approach me and start talking to me, and I wont completely sperg it up", you might actually do something new and enjoy yourself.
If what you really want to do is make a fucking friend, join a sporting club of some kind.
>join sporting club I cant yet, since i have no money as i said :(
I've done these sorts of things before though user. I did them in the last two cities i was in. That's how it ended up. a virgin autist standing alone looking around at the sights
Jordan Torres
Well that sucks. I guess I will just stay home just like I do here to avoid that shit.
Ryder Ward
yes well july 15 is only a couple of weeks away, do it then, and there are cheaper sports than others out there. Just look around.
And dude, unless you are looking around staring at people in a creepy fucking way, who cares? You wouldn't be the first person seeing the sights by yourself.
But if you have been there for 6 months, what the fuck have you been doing to not have any money yet?
Landon Brown
If you like a lot of hot weather, leftists, strange food and people smiling while talking about you behind your back, you'll love it.
Michael Ward
>But if you have been there for 6 months, what the fuck have you been doing to not have any money yet?
have you ever heard of ubereats addictions? well they dont pair well with a work at home job...I also have been spending a lot on upgrading my cooking utensils and furniture
Connor Rogers
what you mean to say "Have you heard of weak willed fuckwits who are too lazy to cook and live outside of their means?"
And yes, yes I have heard of them.
Need to change your priorities dude. You are obviously lonely, so choose to spend money on things that will help you meet new people. Sporting clubs are the answer. Biking clubs is nothing but other dudes who are into bikes. Martial arts is ok, but not exactly good for socializing. You need to find a team sport of some kind.
Zachary Wilson
That really sucks about the talking behind your back thing. So are people in TX who are so seemingly polite and sincere just fake?
Ethan Fisher
buy a shotgun blow your head off
Wyatt Miller
It's basically Los Angeles now anyway so you'll love it.
Samuel Edwards
I can't speak for the whole state, but a lot of people in Austin seem to be very opinionated, outspoken and try to make saving the world their purpose in life.
Eli Moore
There's a big furry community in Austin that you might enjoy.
