I got quite a few spectacular ends to first or second dates cooking spaghetti or steak for a woman. You don't even have to know how to cook something complex, just do it well.
I have chinese bbq chicken marinating in the fridge for the grill. I take it pretty seriously so I get the authentic ingredients from out of state.

If you buy a few spices it could last you most of the year, providing you don't over do it. Our local 99¢ store sells some decent shit. Was going to buy some powdered curry the other day, it's only like $2 at Walmart. Also, you overcooked the meat, looks dry as hell, and the lack of scorch marks on the wood implies you impaled the meat after it was cooked. The vegetables are more expensive than the spices admittedly. Check your local sale ads using Flipp or whatever. Most grocery stores have their weekly ads posted to their websites.
