I wish I knew but not for an ego stroking reason. I believe retarded people can still be decent people who live fulfilling lives. I should know I am one.

What bothers me however is during my senior year of high school I was forced to see a psychologist due to depressive temperament. There was nothing wrong with my life but my parents were concerned and thus I was subjected to clinical testing, namely an IQ test among other things. In the IQ test there was a measurement of spatial intelligence. I ended up testing deficient or retarded in that category. My overall IQ was still average though, 103 or 108. I cannot remember since it was long ago and turns out I have dyslexia.

Retardness is not an inability just a comparative metric that indicates deficiency I believe. There is plenty of retarded people that have successful lives but the degree of the retardation is typically less severe.

Stuff that does not relate is hard to say, arguably everything is interconnected it might not be obvious for you but from other perspectives it may be or it could be perhaps because they failed to elucidate properly. There is no clear cut answer to this vague question, heck it could be a language barrier.

As for "impulsively confusing" I am not sure I understand. Impulsivity can originate from OCD though OCD does occur at higher rates with those afflicted by mental retardation.
