its very possible. Amazon paid a fuckload of money for MGM, and its properties which does include Stargate the deal was closed 3 months ago. and Amazon is very aggressive in acquiring new shows for its streaming service so I wouldn't be surprised they'd be looking to try and make money from the MGM purchase by pushing a new Stargate, exclusive to Amazon streaming

So Amazon spent all that money buying out MGM and all its IPs just to not use them? highly unlikely.

SG Universe was just getting started when they
killed it. I probably would have taken another 6
episodes to get the kinks worked out.

Atlantis took a season before it got good.
I have a similar feeling about universe, it was complete trash, but was just getting somewhat interesting at the end of season 2.

Universe was picking up speed and becoming genuinely interesting by the end of 2nd season. It's Atlantis that was a non-starter and got progressively worse over time.

Atlantis got to be like Lost. They also went to the science nerd as deus ex machina cliche 50-too-many times.
