Then, we get a mod to make a sticky for precisely one year. That sticky will feature high-resolution photographs of the fat, greasy, autistic, Indian-Canadian pedophile's mutilated corpse. Other people will find themselves drawn to the sticky, see the photographs in lurid detail and think, "oh shit. If I don't get my head out of my ass and stop shitposting here, I could be next." For bonus points and a little humor to ease the mood, have the very-first picture feature a plank of wood with blood stains on it next to the corpse, and the words (USER WAS BANGED WITH THIS POST).

Okay. I'm probably wasting my time, but I'm going to explain to you what happened to Any Forums.
In the beginning, Any Forums was just a board for weebs looking for an English-language 2chan. It went through various waves of invasion, from SA goons to the Gentleman Sirs, but all of this culminated in the rise of Anonymous.
After Chanology and Operation Clambake, the alphabet agencies flipped out and ordered m00t to get rid of them or get his servers seized for national security. m00t began rangebanning anyone with a triple digit IQ and censoring any phrases associated with Anonymous, leaving only the neo-Nazi Stormfags and the idiot middle school children who no longer had anyone to tell them to "lurk moar."
The Stormfags realized this was an opportunity to turn Any Forums into a recruitment pool, and began a project called Operation Swarmfront in which they used a semi-automated bot called BUGS to post the same race-bait threads over and over again. This was the first step to what we see today.
After the success the Stormfags had, foreign intelligence agencies realized the potential Any Forums had for astroturfing and sowing dissent in the West among the gullible and stupid. They invented the alt-right with the willing participation of the Stormfags, and elected themselves a president who may yet end democracy.
In other words, Any Forums looks the way it does because a lot of hostile foreign powers use this place as a cheap way to sow chaos and disorder among their enemies, and the neo-Nazis are happy to be their useful idiots.

The most fun on Any Forums was raids and making new memes/having conversations. That was long ago when we were a much smaller community though.
Now raids aren't allowed (which kills the fun) and the population has at least doubled, meaning at least 50% of the people here don't remember what Any Forums was like then it was good. I don't think people really care about preserving the culture anymore. It's the eternal summer
