Here's a fun fact: the smaller and less wolf-like a dog is the less submissive traits they have. The larger more wolf-like dogs have lots of submissive traits as it would literally save their lives in a scenario like this; you try and fight a much larger stronger animal and you die, genetic lineage OVER. By avoiding that fight (with submissive behaviour) the wolf might survive and live a long life where it can breed successfully.
Meanwhile the Chihuahua is trying to dominate a breed 20x the size and strength because it doesn't know any better.
