There is no weakest support. These types of building are built with multiple redundancy in place, not only that, they are also built to withstand a plane strike.
If we do believe your theory of a weakest support, then one side of the building would have been weaker, and the building certainly wouldn't have come down floor by floor, each side (North, East, West, South) equal in strength, and each floor top to bottom equal in strength. The equality of the collapse is the hardest pill to swallow.
