trans girls take drugs that inhibit their abilities. Their gender identity explicitly makes them poorer soldiers. Ideally, active soldiers would be strong and healthy enough to not need expensive hormone drugs.
Additionally, the whole trans thing is largely about being different. In the army, it is important to see the group as one homogenous whole instead of a bunch of little individuals. You must be a cog in the machine, not the special-est cog.
