LOL OMG the Wikipedia page for this asshole is so whitewashed. Every instance of the word slave was replaced with indentured servant. Even the permanent slave John Castor is referred to as 'indentured for life.' Never mind that he was purchased form the African slave trade. Click on the article for John Castor and the doublespeak ends and he is called a slave.

He was the first black slave. The article says prior slaves were being punished for a crime. Indentured servitude was very common for the English at the time, but they could earn their freedom. A slave for life cannot.
