I dont see how he could have expected to leak that much secret information from the most powerful country on earth and not expect to get fuck for it. But ultimately, this is pure vindictiveness, as there are others doing the same thing now. It wont really work the way the government wants it to though, theyre trying to make an example of nim so other journalists wont try to do what he did, but they will continue to anyways, so its just a show of reach and force.
