Also, you may want to put the URL in quotes, and usually 251 is the best audio format so you can write that instead if you like.
E.g. yt-dlp -f 251 "youtube.com
If you wanted to list the formats first to see, you'd do yt-dlp -F "youtube.com

It will download the video, extract the audio, then remove the video and you will have only the audio left.
