Basically your a mercenary (that you have to choose the profession/class, perks etc.) that was hired to explore your dungeon or cave or smth, you also have to manage your sanity and shit which im not going into because i have no fucking idea what kind of system to make it to be
stealth roguelike where takedowns are yoir main offense. you can take doen enemies from the front as well but it takes longer. if an enemy sees you, you have to go hide. distractions and throwables and gadgrts are stuff you unlock over multiple runs and can find them laying around but can also choose to start with ome or 2.
I was looking for something that could be feasible and enjoyable at a small scale, but easily expandabe

just start it and see where it takes you. should be enough of everything to do to go between each thing you have to get done whenever youre inspired, at the beginning. by the time you have enough to have to sit down and think about how to develop it (the final stretch), youd probably have enough done. its a decent idea
OOH OOH I KNOW a steapth game where ypu play as jesus and have to perform miracles to gain followers, but you have to evade the guards. you get crucified when you get caught, and gain more powers from more followers. you ressurect obviously when you die.
Puzzle-y roguelikes are normally my fav actually. So yea probably something along those lines. Are trying to say just abstract it so something that would be considered combat, would no longer be recognized as combat?
Negotiations is a very interesting idea, surprised their isn’t more games that revolve around that concept.
How would something like this work though? Just choosing dialogue options is cool, but I think it could be expanded upon more than that.
Very cool. Maybe items to hide, smoke bombs and the like. I think things like temporary sleep gun would break the no combat rule, but make sense.
Would the enemies really only be like guards on patrol? Can’t really think of much else

Thats a cool idea. I have had similar thoughts with a gardening/farming sort of roguelike.
How would something like this work though? I assume fail states would be things like large alien creatures, spoopy plants, maybe running out of food or something. So it might be kinda like a survival roguelike type of thing.
