I gotta ask, what/who hurt you?

You like Huey Lewis and The News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

I never cared for them, Patrick, why?

Children of bodom. Their last few albums were not anything special bit their first few albums were amazing

I really like how deftones kinda changed over time and got better at their instruments and doing instrumentals instead of doing powerchords and screaming all the time. Tracks like adrenaline or shove it are fun once in a while but they really branched out into more melody kind of things and it was pretty good. It's not buying a metal album and knowing it's all guitar solos and screaching or growling. Bands suck if they don't branch out to pop kinda bullshit sometimes.

I have a hard time picking between Be'lakor and Ne Obliviscaris.

yeah, one of the rare bands that are consistently putting out great albums for over 20 years. on top of that they never do any political virtue signaling bullshit, just music. fucking love them.
