The harder to destroy PC via email was a hardware fix, not a software one. As the viruses were exploiting the fact that there was no upper limit on what you could force your CPU to do. So the code just ramped that shit up until it melted.
The best part of computer viruses is that they're usually only a few lines of code. Full retard simple. Yet they do so much harm in so many ways.
The time/effort/amount of code to fight them is orders of magnitude greater too.
There are 6 new viruses discovered, not created but only discovered, every second.
This is a losing battle without any doubt.
