I have a 2013 MacBook Pro (i7 ivy bridge) that I want to use as my daily driver work laptop since it's build like a fucking truck. I'm mostly just gonna use it to write code and watch porn.
Only problem is, what fucking operating system do I put on this thing?

So many things wrong with this post man. No 2013 macbook pro has an ivy bridge cpu, if it's 2013 it has haswell, if it has ivy it's 2012. The latest apple OS doesn't require arm at all, they compile it for both x86 and arm. Windows 11 can be installed on anything windows 10 can be by simply opening regedit in the installer and setting 2 or 3 preferences. That hardware is perfectly usable with pretty much linux distro, there are drivers for the wifi adapter, trackpad, keyboard, etc either built in or easily available, and apart from those things it's more or less functionally identical to any other standard pc. Linux works fine.

Works fine on my 2012 Retina MBP. The MacOs isn't ARM only. Yet. I expect that to be around 2028-29. Monterey works natively on 2015 MBPs, so if it's around the same time for support for Intel, MacOS should be able to run on any of the Ivy Bridge laptops.

If you get Big Sur running at a minimum, you can run Windows 11 in Bootcamp.
Try doing some google searches before throwing a tantrum on the internet. All 3 OSes you listed can run on your machine, if you have higher than an 80 IQ. There are whole forums and hundreds of YT videos for all of them, walking dumbasses like you through it.

So don't run the newest version of macOS. The most recent compatible version that you can use with a 2013 MacBook is good enough. It's a 2013 MacBook, not a 2008.

dosdude1 stopped providing unofficial patches for macOS after Catalina. OP should use OpenCore Legacy Patcher instead if he wants to run Big Sur or Monterey.

Just run the newest Mac OS it supports. I've got a 2012 MBP and that's what I do, works fine for my needs. Only real shortcoming is if you need the newest xcode for whatever reason, but then linux/windows on it wouldn't fix that anyway.
