world war II

> world war II
> slept 10 hours all week
> about to get sent to the front lines
> Sergeant walking before us
> "Men, you are gonna take the enemy lines with that heavy sledgehammer rifle
> "hopefully none of the rounds fall out of the clip while you're maneuvering
> "hopefully you reload it correctly so your thumb doesn't get caught
> "hopefully you have to reload when the entire clip is emptied
> "hopefully the enemy is in the correct location for you to see him in your sights
> "okay, men, go take back Europe and the Pacific"
M1 Garand was a piece of shit about which everyone was fed endless propaganda

Agreed. Thank the Lord Baby Jesus for the baby killer M4

First if you've ever held a garand Clip you'd know cartriges won't fall, secondly you can eject partially emptied clips, so no need to fire all eight.

I'll agree it's a bulky rifle though..

Any gun is better than no gun. Also no firefight is better than any firefight. Train trauma response/medical as much as you train to shoot. Stay safe bros.

I have always been partial to the 1903 Springfield.

>can open a 3rd eye socket in a German's head at up to 500 yards
>uses same Springfield ammo, which is logistically nice
>can be modified to go full auto, which is useless but cool
>can crush open a man's skull reliably in a melee
>didn't need revisions
>that ding doe
>still holds up to modern guns

idk I think it's good enough

I'd rather have a garand than a fucking BAR.
that would be horrible

checked and nice captcha

Dubs and based captcha. Gonna rip and tear ww1 style.

>and the Pacific"
There were far more M1 CARBINES then M1 Garands in the Pacific theater.,

Full auto garand? That's nightmare fuel for my shoulder.

Also some top notch boner fuel.

at least it's not a steel tube.

I think I'm going to have to fire up Hotdogs and play around with a full giggle garand now.

I'm getting horny for that big Canadian rifle of yours user

Was fine when it was designed, although I like the Pedersen rifle too. Toggle lock action makes me hard.

Was only slightly heavier than Springfield. But was semi so massively worth it.

Rounds won't fall out of the clip even if not in a magazine. Dudes would clip em onto webbing.

Only dolts got their thumbs caught

You can eject a clip at any time.

The enemy isn't going to stand their. Though the japs may rush straight at you with a spear.

Take back Europe? Like from the good guys?
Take back Asia? From the Asians?

>their
There.
Fucking phones.

based.

Yes but now compare the semi auto fire with germans with bolt actions.
