Fucking MSI gaymen mobos
Just over 2 minutes, as I run from a HDD.
It's a laptop though, so full reboots are rare.
what distro are you using brother
plotted version, low res on purpose
arch with systemd-boot
:^)
Startup finished in 18.508s (firmware) + 1.011s (loader) + 1.529s (kernel) + 433ms (userspace) = 21.482s
Why is my firmware loading so slow?
Never mind, I don't know how to read.
it will get slower
seabios takes 100ms to finish loading
What did you do to your kernel to make it load this fast?
Probably no initramfs or a stripped initramfs.
On a Thinkpad T430
Startup finished in 18.044s (firmware) + 1.622s (loader) + 43.692s (kernel) + 2.902s (userspace) = 1min 6.260s
graphical.target reached after 2.902s in userspace.
Very slow. I have two LUKS devices that need to be manually unlocked and I got the password wrong the first time because I didn't notice that num lock was off.
shit wrong pic kek
anyway, it's 18.548
you need to use systemd-boot to get good boot time. grub sucks ass and it's hard to configure. systemd-boot is minimal af and easy to configure
this but I'm a standby chad so my "startup"/resume times are a few seconds anyway.
EFI Stub is faster than systemd-boot.
Startup finished in 1.791s (kernel) + 2.025s (userspace) = 3.816s
graphical.target reached after 2.025s in userspace.st
Not working fellas.
