it was a bad day for me. I didn't get much work done. found out this morning that someone RIP over the weekend.
had a couple discussions with the coworker and worked in his roommate. he said that he sees the same things I do (and more) but the guy won't listen to him about anything.
one of the problems with his roommate is he has the sugars and he has an aversion to doctors so he does not go see the doctor and he has been managing his diabetes with KETO. but the coworker says he doesn't think his roommate is really managing anything.
then we talked about him thinking of retiring as an ex-PAT to panama or somewhere because he thinks one could live cheap there and they still speak english down there.
he says he can probably do it as soon as 13-years if he starts planning for it now.

I talked to the coworker today how he isn't married and doesn't have any kids at 50 years old and that he is free to do whatever he wants like move to Panama for retirement once he saves enough money.
so at least you could have that going for you

I actually made a dumb FREN post in another thread and mentioned it and then deleted the post, but I knew the guy. he was a client and I worked with him and his wife for close to ten years. we were friendly to each other.
I am sad about it.

he is a weird guy. he is looking at it as a pure economical move. he said there is universal health care down here and that he can live for $2000/mo. he doesn't own a house here and he is worried about healthcare costs (I guess?) He doesn't know anyone down there but he says there is a big ex-PAT community. he knows people in california and in seattle (and here) but I guess he thinks the cost of living will be too much when he gets old

it was just a frogpost thread and I frogposted with a short blurb about it. I am sure plenty of people seen it before I deleted it. no one responded. I just had to get some words out and I don't care who seen it but I just typed something send it and then deleted the post.
for half the day I didn't know how to process it but then an email came from his company formally announcing it and later a lighting rep stopped by unscheduled and we talked about it. I guess that is as much as I can do.
